Twiddly knobs, doo-dads, and whatchamacallits

[Shanty]

"Ooh, I'd love that. We can do that while I redraw those blueprints. It's been a while, but they're still in my database. I'd just need the time."

When Aurelio produces a map, Shanty glances it over, giving a hum of thought. She stays here for a moment, only drawn out by varian's suggestion. The lights behind her gaze flicker lightly, and she smiles, "That's a brilliant idea. I could even operate that within the law-bindings of the wormholes, as long as I'm able to get an altitude reading. If I could work it to project, say, a few centimeters off the ground, you could very easily just drop through to your destination of choice, Aurelio." Shanty offers him a smile, and glances back towards Varian.

"We'd just need some data, and I think we could do this."

[Esmeralda]

"As long as we can program the destinations as I need them," Aurelio nodded, a grin tweaking his face. Their enthusiasm was infectious, "I have a lot of... improvisation in the work that I do. Either way, at least we have a base line to work with. You can finesse it as we go on. I knew you guys were the right people to ask."

Aurelio rolled the map up and held it out to Varian this time, it was his way of acknowledging the boy as part of this project, rather than directing everything to Shanty, "You guys can keep this. I have a copy. But be careful with it. There is some information I'd prefer not get around. Infiltration is harder when people know where you are infiltrating."

Aurelio laughed quietly and then stood up, carefully picking his way to the door again, "When would you two like me to come back for tests or updates? I've never had to do a sort of commission like this, so I'm not sure what you need me to do from here on."

[Varian]

Varian's eyes lit up at the affirmations from Shanty, who so readily seemed keen to listen to him. It was a feeling he'd grown rather unused to, more accustomed to people dismissing him and writing him off as 'just a child' who's opinions and ideas lost their validity for that reason alone. He didn't mind being told he was wrong when he was given logical reasons, it was when he was simply ignored or spoken over just because he was younger than his peers.

He glanced back up at Shanty and grinned, "right! If you can find them, it would certainly make this easier!" He was eager for the long, theory filled conversations they would have over this...He couldn't remember ever sharing those kinds of talks with his father...His expression fell briefly, before he shook the thought away and turned back to the other two.

"Piece of cake! Once we figure out how to program in the initial coordinates, it shouldn't be any trouble to tweak them as needed!" He looked to Shanty for confirmation on that, before turning back to Aurelio holding the map out to him, his eyes almost sparkled as he took it from him, giving him a serious nod, "d-don't worry! We wont let anyone but us lay eyes on it!" He felt exhilarated being entrusted to help with this project, being officially acknowledged as a member of this team, it was a validating feeling.

He didn't speak, giving Shanty room to answer Aurelio, he didn't have answers to that question, and he was a bit to taken back by the gesture to form a cohesive thought anyway.

[Shanty]

"Could take a day, could take a week..." There's a thoughtful hum here, head tilting slightly, "It really depends on how cooperative the programming wants to be. No more than two weeks, I'd think, but that's being generous. I'll send Varian to come find you when it's ready, Dear. But we'll put this at the forefront of our efforts, and get it done as fast as humanly-- and mechanically-- possible."

A smile crosses her face as Varian takes the map, and she gives a short nod, "And your secrets are safe with us. As long as those marks are decently accurate, I can almost promise this will be a quick endeavor~"

It seems the Captain is enthusiastic about the new project. it was something she knew much about, something familiar. Finally, a proper stretch of her expertise.

[Esmeralda]

"Excellent," Aurelio flashed the two a winning grin. This really would make things a lot more easier for him. He needed to be in "two places at one time" so to speak. If they could get this teleportation technology to work, it would help him greatly to maintain that illusion. A perfect way to gather alibis. 'Why no sir, it couldn't have been me, I was miles and miles away...'

He'd struggled with maintaining some of his work, and being able to shorten his traveling time would revolutionize that. Even if Shanty and Varian's excitement weren't so infections he still would have found himself thrumming with expectation. Things could change greatly in their favor with Shanty and Varian's help. The extra edge they needed.

"If you need anything, let me know. I shouldn't be too hard to find. I'll stop in, in about a week? Just to check up on you and see if you need anything!" Aurelio did a bit of a flourishing bow, one arm crossing over his chest, "Until then Sir Alchemist and Pirate of the stars."

The grand titles and flourish was a distinctly Clopin-like action. Aurelio really was his brother's... er... brother.
