"Hrm?" Castle focused his old eyes and saw that it was Shanty in front of his office, "Yes? What do you need Shanty?"
His words sounded harsher than they were intended. A simple effect of Castle's curmudgeonly nature really. He nodded when Shanty mentioned the teleportation system and not breaking things. "You mean more than usual?" he quipped back, once again the light teasing coming off gruffer than intended.
Castle had an easier time stepping into his office with Shanty holding the door open for him. He grunted his thanks. Castle looked around for a spot to safely place the box with out up ending the many piles and stack. Carefully he settled it on a few stacks that were approximately the same height. They held the box well enough. He opened it and began removing the folders and binders he would need to collate the paperwork into a more efficient system.

Shanty can’t help the soft laugh that rocks her frame, lips curled up in a jovial grin. While he sounded gruff, Shanty could identify his humor, “I don’t want to break anything important. Windows are a bit less pressing than mass transportation.” She leans her weight against the door slightly, gaze drifting to follow him, “Really, the thing’s made of some sort of mirror mechanism. It wouldn’t take Varian or I to shatter that mess of...”
Her voice peters off here, and her gaze darts over the literal mounds of paperwork lying about. She figured Jack would be more organized than this! And while it seemed he had... some semblance of a filing system...
“... Mister Castle, do you need a hand organizing? Maybe a filing cabinet... or seven?”

Castle grunted and held up in his hands two of the binders. His gaze was completely flat, and just a little bit tired, "I am actually just getting down to organizing. The previous king's record keeping leaves a lot to be desired. Especially with all the embezzeling that had been going on."
He slapped the binders down and then pulled out a hole puncher and staplers, "The whole damn thing needs a massive over haul. So that's what I'm doing."
He didnt bother grumbling about needing a hand. It was obvious he could use the help, but Castle was stuborn. He wasn't going to whine about how much work he had. Definitely not in the middle of a war while people were fighting for their lives and freedoms.
"When I've made some floor room, I'll get these sorted back into the archives," he grunted as he turned back to Shanty, "What did you need from me about the teleportation system?"

There's an.. odd clicking noise from the Captain. Not one made by choice, it seems; something internal.
"That can wait, Mister Castle. I have no intention to let you handle this state of affairs alone. Besides, I wasn't given a deadline." There's a shrug here, and a soft puff of smoke from the machine's lips, "Though, how it's handled is up to you. I can put together an organization system for you in here, or I can just help you put things back where they belong. Either would be easy enough." She tilts her head backwards, illuminated gaze shifting towards the ceiling.
"I wonder if I can drag Varian along... It might be best to get him out of the chemical fumes once in a blue moon, even if he'll complain the whole way."
