The assassin did a quick headcount, noting who was where and- she paused noting Angel approaching her. The small dog asked her for orders and Esmeralda took a moment to wrack her tired brain. Angel wasn't a medic, and her lack of opposable thumbs might make it a bit hard for her to assist with the delicate work of healing. But Esmeralda would be damned if she wasn't going to respect Angel's request for a job. She was just trying to do her part.
"Do a check for me, go around and see if I've missed anyone who might need help. Ooor might be too stubborn to ask for it," she couldn't help but smile ruefully when she thought about how Shere-Kahn would have probably hidden away with out care if she hadn't sent Icarus after him, "there's a lot going on and I'm just one person. An extra pair of eyes will hel-" Esmeralda's words were cut off as she looked to her brother and his announcement. That was Clopin, quick to respond to a disaster. His words were a promise and would bolster morale after such a devastating attack. She grinned a bit hoping as many people as possible had heard his proclamation. She was sure he would make an official statement, but right now the sentiment was needed in this trying moment.

Sophia’s face contorted into a frown as Jenn said she was fine. The unicorn knew that she wasn’t entirely okay, but at least the poison was out. If the angel said she could pop her wing back into place, she would just have to trust her.
“If you say so. But if it hurts, lie down. Let your body heal without moving so much.” Sophia said, as she rose and nudged her brother with her shoulder.
“Bob, c’mon. I need to make sure you aren’t hurt either.” Sophia said. The older unicorn rose to his hooves as well, shaking his head.
“I’m fine y’all. But maybe Shere Khan might need your healing’ powers. His face looks pretty scratched up.” Bob said, lowering his voice to a whisper at the last part. He then followed his sister as she trotted over to the tiger and Icarus. Sophia then pushed herself between the two of them, and lightly tapped Icarus with a hoof.
“Icarus, you’ve done a good job, but let me take a look and see what I can do.” Sophia said, with a gentle tone. She then turned her attention to the grizzled tiger, horn glowing once more with magic.
“Shere Khan, right? I’m going to seal these wounds of yours, but it might hurt. Are you ready?” Sophia asked.

As Icarus was shooed away by Sophia, the tiger king could feel his body grow greatly tense. His pupil turned into a little slit and he rose his front half up. His gaze showed that of mistrust towards the unicorn, suddenly very wary of his presence. He knew she was an ally but old habit died hard especially for him.
She was a hooved creature, and he still had it embedded in him that such things could do extreme damage if he wasn't careful. Dark toned ears laid flat against the sides of his head while his muzzle curled. His gaze locked on the glowing horn that she possessed. "What are you?" He growled uneasily. His large back pressed against the wall.
At the mention of healing his wounds, more uncertainty entered him and he stood up fully. His tail thrashed back and forth, each thudded against the stone being a clear indication of his irritation.

Like a puppy, Bob kept close to his sister’s side, leaving Jenn to her own devices, as she had requested. Despite their age difference, sometimes Sophia acted more like the older sibling. This was one of those times.
As she made her way towards Shere Khan, Bob could see the uneasiness in the tiger’s eye, as Sophia’s horn began to glow. He raised a hoof and rested it on his sister’s shoulder. When she turned, he shook his head slowly from side to side, before carefully approaching the tiger.
While in any other circumstance, Bob would have been terrified of speaking to an apex predator, he felt strangely at peace. He bowed his head towards the tiger, before answering his questions.
“We are unicorns. Kind of like horses, but they don’t have the magic we do. Sophia’s just tryin’ to help, but you have to trust her. I know it’s scary, but in the end it’ll help you heal up real quick. We don’t intend on harmin’ you.” Bob said, with as much of a soothing voice as he could muster.

Caution was still highly present in his golden hue. Even with a soothing tone Khan could not help but wonder if he could trust Bob or not. The idea was one that made him feel uneasy, but he could not help but want relief. His joints ached, he was exhausted, and if anything could help ease the pain his shoulders and face felt, it would be appreciated.
He stalled in his reaction before his body slowly met the cold stone below him again. His eye kept it's stern gaze on the unicorn siblings before he inclined his head slowly, the gaze turned away from the pair. It was hard for him to do so, but it was an attempt on his part none the less.
No matter how hard it was for him, he needed to trust the people around him at one point or another or else it might cost him his skin one evening.
"I don't like this." He grumbled like the old man he was. "But do what you must."

“Thank you Shere Khan. I’ll try to get you feeling a little better.” Sophia said. Her horn glowed with a much stronger light, and she began working her magic on the tiger’s shoulder, letting her healing power flow through from her body to Khan. His wounds began to close up, as she moved from his shoulder to his eye.
There would be no saving the eye, that much was for sure. But she would try her best to ease the pain for the grizzled old tiger. In a way, Khan reminded her of a few elders back home, with their grumpy attitudes and reluctance to try anything new. But she remembered that whenever they’d manage to get hurt, they would put their trust in her mother to heal them.
That’s what she strove to be, just like her mother. She wanted the Rogues to feel comfortable coming to her, and by healing both Jenn and Khan, she figured it would be a great first step.
She just hoped that she could get them all healed enough to where they would be well again.
