Here comes a lion

[Afua]

Afua stretches out in the tall golden grass, body shifts as he rolls onto his back, as a young teenager in the Pride his days were laid back, before the war came he hadn’t a care in the world. But now, now his days were filled with worry over what stupid move his best friend might pull next. He stares up at the overcast sky wondering why Simba had left them, left his family so damn early.

“Afua, what are you doing?” The voice came from Shingo who was browsing the treetops some feet away.

“Just...just thinking” the teenager responded, watching the giraffe eat from the tree. A few minutes later Shingo leaves and again Afua falls into silence.

[Kopa]

Kopa found himself walking through the golden grass of the savannah, a million thoughts rushing through his head. He was so wrapped up in his thoughts that he didn't notice that he had run into his best friend, Afua. "Ooof! Sorry Afua," he said slightly dazed.

[Afua]

“Ugh!” Afua grunted as he was crashed into with an annoyed rumble in his throat the young male leaps up to deal with the person only to come face to face with Kopa.

“No worries” his ears flick forward having been laid back against his skull with annoyance. He suddenly tackles the prince, playfully tugging at his mane and ear. “What’s the rush your highness?” He grins down at him.

[Kopa]

Kopa grunted. "I was just thinking..." Kopa replied slightly annoyed. He then quickly leaped up and tackled Afua. "What are you doing out here?" he said with a smirk. For intents and purposes, he felt much more comfortable being himself around Afua than anyone else in the Freedom Fighters.

[Afua]

"I was just thinking..."

“What do you know, so was I” he jokes swatting at Kopa’s face with a paw. Inviting him to tussle more. “I was relaxing, taking a break from Pride life” the other explains, “one day, i’m gonna have to leave like all males do- well except you and your brothers possibly” he rubs his chin with his paw in though. “But yeah after this whole war is over i’m totally gonna find a bunch of bros and set off” he grins at Kopa

[Kopa]

Kopa smiled, "That's great!" said Kopa. He didn't think the war would end anytime soon, but it was a nice thought. "I don't know... I might leave..." Kopa said. He was considering it. Maybe it would be fun to leave the Pridelands. There was just too much on his mind.

[Afua]

Afua gives a snort of amusement “You don’t have to leave now” he laughed hearing his best friends musing. “It will be years from now, when we are adults, probably by then this war will be over” he gives a shake of his half grown mane. “C’mon I’ll race you to Big Springs!” the Teenager was up on his feet and racing forward with a laugh. “Keep up, you’re already losing!” He laughs

[Kopa]

Kopa leaped to his paws and chased after him. He then managed to pull ahead of him. "Think again!" He laughed. He then raced faster kicking up dust in Afua's eyes. "Try and keep up, Afua!" taunted Kopa. He was glad he had something to keep his mind off things.

[Afua]

Afua grins as he gives chase, leaping over logs and rocks as he tries to keep up with his best bro. “Not fair Kopa!” He called out, he falls behind for a moment before with a sudden surge of strength he kicks off a small boulder and sprints towards his friend aiming to tackle him across the grassy terrain. Big Springs was almost in sight.

[Kopa]

Kopa saw him out of the corner of his eye and smirked. He swerved to the side letting Afua catch only air. "Nice try!" he laughed. Then he sprinted off again, looking back over his shoulder to see if how Afua was.
