Post by Aurelia on Jun 13, 2018 4:44:11 GMT
February 28th, Evening To say Aurelia was nervous about the battle was a large understatement. She hadn't been around the last time a battle had happened, so this was her first time experiencing the change that came with the grounds. They were so... empty. Not that she was the only one here. Not by a long shot. But all of the soldiers, who had prepared just before, were gone. Miss Nasira was gone. Even Mister Crow had locked himself away. It was... quiet. Too quiet. It made the poor Gorgon nervous beyond all reason. As Aurelia wandered the halls aimlessly, attempting to stave off the rising anxiety, something catches her attention. A strange noise, like a blast of wing, followed by the roaring of the sea and a storm. There's a flash of light, and the room is illuminated in a fiery, green glow. I's... .. What is it? It's hard to make it out. There's this.. horrid feeling coming from it. One that makes your skin crawl and your pulse rise. After a quick 'glance' around, Aurelia shuffles towards it cautiously. "A-ah.. hello...?"

Nasira looked as though she had been swimming. The rain had soaked through her clothes, running its icy fingers down her back, and her long black hair was plastered to her damp skin. The necromancer looked and felt miserable. If Nasira had her way, she'd never get on another ship again. Fuck the ocean.
She did take a deep, indulging breath of the cool evening in her lungs. The wisp of air cooled her throat and spread through her chest. She was uncomfortable, but at least she could breathe now. "It's just me, Aurelia," Nasira sighed, obviously tired. She sounded far away. "...the others will be here soon."

Tucker pauses, ear up and alert at the sudden flash and he quicky pads forward hearing Aurelia call out
"A-ah.. hello...?"
"Carefully now we don't-" Tucker approaches her side before a familiar voice answers
"It's just me, Aurelia,"
"...the others will be here soon."
"Nasira, it's Tucker. How did the battle go?" the Shepard asked, the air smelled of seawater and something else he can't figure out. "What happend?" he murmured softly

Under orders Kula had remained behind, still recovering as she was from her previous battle wound. The flesh had mended, but... Still. Better safe than sorry, she supposed. Besides it wasn't like she'd performed in any exemplary way on the battlefield... Beaten by a lion who was her junior in age.
Kula sighed. At least her mom was here with her while daddy went off to oversee his new underlings.
Sarafina noticed the sound of the returning portal before her daughter did and was quick to flick her tail upon Kula's shoulder, motioning for them to rise from their lounging positions on the floor to head towards the source of the noise. The lionesses both padded in with careful expressions on their face as Nasira stepped through, bowing their heads slightly in a gesture of respect. "Welcome home, Ma'am."
Sarafina's brow creased slightly as she took in Nasira's soaked appearance as well as them who hed begun to trickle through behind her. "Thunderstorms, Nasira?"

Post by Mortaray on Jun 23, 2018 1:30:13 GMT
The odd sound had drawn Mortaray out of his slumber only a few rooms down the corridor. Heterochromic hues snapped open before the skinwalker lifted his head in alarm. He rapidly blinked away the sleep in his eyes before he rose to his feet. He shoved away from his cot and down the hall to where the gathering of soldiers was forming and a deep set frown graced his features. As soldiers began to filter through the glowing roaring portal he felt a sense of dread. Especially as he saw Nasira's current state.
Something was wrong. Horribly, horribly wrong.
He hesitated for a beat before he moved to help his fellow overseer. "Nasira, what happened?"

Post by Owl on Jun 24, 2018 14:08:04 GMT
It wasn’t that Owl hated the other medics. Heck, one would be hard pressed to say Owl hated anyone. But she so desperately wanted to be the first one on the scene, she ran off like a bullet toward the portal of returning soldiers. Owl had spent her entire life being something of a prodigy. Although her father certainly didn’t mean to, he emphasized success so hard, Owl had a difficult time accepting being anything but the best at her job. What would everyone think of her if she was short of perfect?
“Healer here!! Is anyone--”
Owl’s words faltered as her ankle threatened to twist as she skidded to a halt upon sprinting into the room.
“Is anyone hurt?”
She finished her sentence after catching herself. Owl had arrived in a humanoid form. After all, most healing was easier when you had proper hands. The green glare of the portal emphasized the green of her irises, which became even more visible as her eyes widened in concern.

Post by Claude Frollo on Jun 25, 2018 21:25:39 GMT
After a great deal of soldiers and all get through, the last one back was Frollo. The portal closed behind him as he tried to settle his thoughts. It had look like everyone from his ship, save Scar made it back but he wasn't quite sure...(why Scar stayed behind was anyone's guess) He had no doubt this loss would be put on him... his performance out there was less than great. if not for Diablo.... wait. How was Diablo able to use the book in such a way in the first place? again the question seemed to assail him but for now he would chalk it up to Maleficent's backup plan. he is her bird after all.
"Nasira... what is our status? How many made it back?" Frollo asked to try to get a grasp on the situation now. whatever punishment was in store for him didn't matter really right now as long as he can try to make it right. at least he though so. "Scar... is lost. he has chosen to stay behind."

"Scar... is lost. he has chosen to stay behind."
Tucker’s ears droop back as his face scrunched up in confusion. “Lost? You mean he’s still back there in the jungle fighting? He’s a overseerer, right? Why wasn’t he one of the first people to go through the portal?” Tucker asks, looking between the older man and then Nasira. He glances over at Kula now and quickly puts a paw across her in a sort of way to calm her down just in case. “I’m good at tracking scents, let me go with a search party to help find him and any other injured people”

“I’m good at tracking scents, let me go with a search party to help find him and any other injured people” Frollo looked at him with a solemn look. almost defeated. "By lost, I ment he has.... passed..." if we were to go back, there is a High probability we would not even find a corpse. I kept the portal open for him, called out to him. but he chose his path. i Believe all of out injured were led back..." Frollo closed his eyes and began to walk back to his room, "May God have mercy on his soul."

Post by Nasira on Jul 4, 2018 3:55:06 GMT
Several people had begun to bombard Nasira. She sighed unhappily as that terrible scene kept repeating itself behind her eyes. The horror she had felt then returned to her now, and a shudder ran through her body. She made herself look at each and every Blackblood that had filed in. "A sea monster destroyed our fleet," she announced flatly. "Perthmail..." She could not continue.
Owl sped in, and Frollo emerged from the portal. The grave look in the overseer's dark eyes raised a red flag. She noticed that Scar and Turbo were not with him. Nasira felt a surge of anger. Nasira regarded Frollo through narrowed eyes. Of all the times for Scar to go off on his own. "What do you mean he 'chose to stay behind?' We've been ordered to evacuate, Frollo," Nasira pointed out disbelievingly. "He should not have been left behind!"
She had scarcely begun to consider a course of action when Frollo added: The room suddenly went quiet. Nasira looked hard at Frollo, her frown deepening. She could hardly believe her ears. So much for going back to look. "Frollo, are you sure?" she demanded, her skepticism turning to concern. "What did you see?"
The overseer could not help but flash a glance at Sarafina and Kula, Scar's mate and daughter, respectively. What a horrible way to find out, Nasira thought grimly.
Tearing her gaze away from Scar's family, Nasira saw that Frollo was walking in the direction of his room. A low growl rumbled in the tall necromancer's throat. "Frollo," she said darkly, taking a threatening step. "Where are you going?! We still have to make our report!"
