March 13th, Year 1 Much like he always did in the mornings Jasper had set about strolling through the Freedom Fighters camp and assessing what was going on. Everything appeared to be as normal as could be, soldiers were waking up and switching shifts while others had already begun to filter into the mess hall for breakfast. Tired hues watched as a familiar fawn went to head into the building when the sound of pattering paws caught his attention. His brows furrowed before he turned his attention to the noise. The sight he was met with was the tiny blind cub he had adopted darting between soldiers to get to him. The look of clear panic on her face. There was a sinking feeling in his chest that he could not quite place as to why it was there. There was no way she could have overheard his conversation with Hikaru, right? Or... Or had Hikaru betrayed him? The thought was one that did not settle well with him. He could feel the tension riddle his current feline form, what the hell was going on? "Shani?" He questioned as the girl came huffing and puffing to a stop at his paws. "Shani, kiddo, what's up? (ooc: PLEASE WAIT UNTIL SHANI/NALA HAS POSTED BEFORE JOINING IN GUYS)

Post by Shani on Jun 15, 2018 15:41:10 GMT
Skidding to a sharp halt, Shani let out several ragged breaths as she tried to explain to Jasper what happened, "Papa! Papa I'm... I'm sorry. I was out... gathering herbs... and Kopa showed up. He was being... a jerk... he pushed me, asking me why I don't like him."
Finally catching her breath, she looked up and continued explaining, much faster this time, "He wouldn't leave me alone, I just got so annoyed, then he shoved me and I got angry and I accidentally told him what happened and then everyone else heard too and they all started asking questions and I didn't know what else to do! I'm sorry! Papa I swear I didn't mean to..." She let out a small hiccup as the still raw emotions from her argument with the other cubs mixed with her rising panic, her entire body shaking.
Behind Shani, a loud roar broke through the crowd, "JASPER!" The freedom fighters around them parted like the red sea, Nala quickly striding forward with fury in her eyes. After the crowd had fully parted, her strides became quicker until she had broke out into a full out run, lunging for the shapeshifter with an earsplitting roar as soon as she was close enough.
Shani quickly tried to scramble out of the way as soon as she heard the roar, but she only ended up bumping into Jasper instead.

Panic rose in his chest as Shani's hurried words grew into a jumbled mess. Whatever calm he had only seconds before melted into a mess of fear, anger, and worry. He raised his paw to touch her cheek, to bring his daughter some comfort. "Shani, shani slow down what are you talking about-"
The queen's voice caused Jasper to silence immediately. Mismatched hues quickly looked upward only to see his soldiers part like the red sea and the Queen's slow pace broke into a sprint. Right towards him and Shani. His mind struggled to keep up with what was going on but one thing that became apparently clear was that Shani was in danger. She was between whatever anger Nala had directed towards him and it would get her injured or worse killed.
The weight of the cub against him was enough to stir him into action, without even thinking about the power it would drain his form changed within a blink of an eye. Before a tiger had been standing there and now? The tiger was a colossal sized bear that threw open it's maw and let out an equally loud ear-splitting roar that seemed to carry even further than Nala's voice. "ENOUGH!" He bellowed with a ferocious anger he had never displayed before. His child now rested behind his right forepaw, sheltered by his massive form and rare protective anger painted each feature on the Freedom Fighters leader's face.
"What the hell are you doing, Nala?!"

Kopa came roaring onto the scene and charged Shani. "SHANI!!!" He pounced onto he not caring if he got hurled off by Jasper, who was near Shani.
He spat. "How dare you!" he repeated, glaring at Jasper this time. "You kept this all this time?" he snarled, turning to face Shani. "How could you? With me worrying constantly about who did it? Huh?!" he could barely contain his rage.

Post by Flynn Rider on Jun 15, 2018 16:11:55 GMT
Eugene Fitzherbert, more commonly known as Flynn Rider, scoped out the camp's layout one more time. Obviously, as a former thief (ehHEM, a former EXPERT thief), he knew how to rob this place inside and out, and so, he took it upon himself (without anyone asking, isn't that nice of him?) to survey the entire camp, figure out points of weakness a skilled thief would be able to exploit and use to steal the maximum amount of damage and close them off to prevent anything from being able to take anything. The old King thought his security was tight on that crown? Ohoho, wait till he sees my ideas about defending this collection of tents, he'll be blown away!
That's when he heard the yelling and rushing of heavy bodies against each other. Quickly rushing to the growing crowd, Flynn caught a giant bear roaring at the lioness leader while covering the small blind lion cub who worked with Rapunzel in the medical area. Flynn froze, and glanced around for Rapunzel, making sure she wasn't hurt or being attacked. First priority: Find her. Second priority: Figure out what the HELL is going on. Third priority: Think about how different times were when the only animals you spoke with were a horse and a frog who didn't talk back.

Sometimes it was nice to duck away from the entourage of guards that he'd brought with him, better to not have to deal with them jumping and hissing at every little sound. He was usually unconcerned about the possibility of danger or drama, after all he was among allies here.
But, as he well knew, even within your own people there was always the possibility of strife, with so many different creatures and personalities, clashes were inevitable. As he was about to find out.
It was the roar of the lioness Nala that brought his attention, and likely every other in the vicinity, and being that he was not entirely keen on getting involved in a situation that he clearly knew little about, the small feline made quick work of scaling a tree to watch the scene down below. He was a king in his home, and a noble cat, but he was not above feline curiosity, and he had a feeling this would get interesting.

Post by Nevada on Jun 15, 2018 16:17:18 GMT
Nevada had been busy helping Zamora construct another house when he heard Jasper's furious roar from across the camp. Eyes narrowed slightly before his form shifted to that of a large, well-muscled canid and bolted from Zamora's side to try and find his beloved mate as quickly as possible.
It didn't take Nevada long to find a large group of his comrades surrounding a colossal sized bear and without hesitating Nevada shoved his way through the gathered crowd to dart over to his soulmate's side.
"Jasper?! Nala?! What the hell is going on!?" Nevada near snarled, ears pinning back against his skull as an intense sense of dread filled his chest as he took note of the hostility coming from the Lioness queen and the other Freedom Fighters that had gathered. Green hues widened as Kopa lunged for Shani, a small blind cub that he knew Jasper had come to consider his daughter and so Nevada didn't hesitate to intercept the older lion from attacking the younger.
~~~~~~~~
Crimson hues snapped open at the sound of a ferocious roar that seemed to echo for miles upon miles around and Marahute lifted her head from being tucked against her back while she rested to look down from her nest upon one of the lower plateaux's near to Pride Rock. Almost immediately her crimson gaze settled upon a confrontation between Jasper and the rest of the Freedom Fighters. Gold and white feathers ruffled in distress before the giant eagle unfurled her wings and took to the skies to glide down towards the group.
Post by Boso on Jun 15, 2018 16:27:14 GMT
Boso had heard Shani's hysterical roar, and he ran like his life depended on it. He only just caught up to Jasper and Shani when Nala lunged. Jasper shifted to a large bear and a mighty roar that shook the camp like thunder. Boso screamed.
Then Kopa pounced on Shani.
"Why you!" Boso felt he was about to explode with rage. Out of all of Simba's cubs, Kopa was by far the worst. This time, the self-proclaimed "prince of the Pride Lands" had gone too far. No one hurts his sister. Titles be damned.
"GET OFF OF HER!"
He dropped his head and charged, ramming his head hard into Kopa's flank.
“What the devil?!” Silver’s cybernetic eye zooms in on the commotion trying to figure out what in the heck was going on. Silver glances skyward catching sight of the huge eagle who seemed just as confused. The loud roars surely caught the attention of the wolf and Grey Brother joins the growing crowd and watches as the young prince goes to tackle a medic only to be intercepted by Nevada. “What’s going on?” Grey whispered to a brown haired man who he didn’t recognize.
Post by Zamora on Jun 15, 2018 17:00:49 GMT
Nevada was not alone in his bolt.
Zamora’s head had snapped away from her work just as fast as his had, and long ears stood up in surprise. She’d dropped what she was doing to follow, keeping a worried, speedy clip.
What she finds is chaos. Jasper— it smells like Jasper. The big one —surrounded by a rapidly increasing number of soldiers. There’s noise, there’s movement, there’s roaring, there’s panic.
Zamora’s hairblades stand on end, beginning to rattle as she begins to grab. Foot, leg, tail, scruff, it doesn’t matter. It seems she doesn’t care what or who she’s grabbing. It could be Kopa, it could be Boso, it could be Nala. Each form grabbed gets tossed to the back of the group with little concern as she forces her way forward.
By the time she’s made it to Jasper, her hairblades are no longer just ‘rattling’. They’ve kicked up an incredible amount of static in their shaking, and the rubbing is causing clouds of dander to cumulate and drift to her face and along her hair. Once in front of the Freedom Fighter leader, she whips around to face the growing crowd, tail flicking across the dirt before coiling upwards over her shoulder. For the first time since her first night, her jaw opens completely in a vile, ear-popping roar. With the clouds, the static lightning, the rattling, the roaring, the peeled-back face...
It’s a sight unlike anything on this earth. This is no longer an alien, or even a monster. Zamora’s not just frightened, or upset.
This creature is a walking nightmare, and she’s enraged.
