Bring the Sea with You

[Nereus]

    Nereus wasn't sure of the new beings that now showed up (or were there before and she just noticed them at that point), but they were fine. She wasn't sure just what Kattz was, and the same with Benjamin, and Kijana's thing with wheels was weird, but eh, the surface world was weird. But what was a boss, exactly? It was a weird word. Was it another word for a leader of some sort?

    "Is boss another weird surface word for a sibling or something?" She asked Kula. Confused fish monster thing was confused at that point. 

[Perthmail]

As Kula's sandpaper tongue touched the tip of his nose the pirate king scrunched his face. His smile ever present and never fading as he pulled away tapping the lioness on her nose in a silent form of revenge. His attention went to Nereus as she spoke.

"Are you two siblings or something?"

"No, we aren't siblings-"

“Miss Kula, who is this guy? What does he want?”

Perthmail's brows furrowed. "My name is Perthmail, I-"

“I must say, out of all the things I expected to see today, a dead man walking wasn’t one of them.”

His brows raised turning his head to look down towards Benjamin, his smile widened just a bit at the comment of 'my friend'. He wouldn't lie the dog had always been his favorite be around even if they didn't get to interact much. Maybe though that would change now that he was back, and then there was Kattz that cut his train of thought in half.

“Pipe down, kiddo. He’s with us.”

At the mention of his death, his brows shot upward, his hands touched at his chest in a near-comical manner checking himself out. He spun around to make sure there was nothing in or on his back before he turned to face the others holding his arms out at either side. "Nope, just as alive as a demon can get." He joked with a hardy chuckle that would make any Captain jealous.

And then suddenly came the conversation about being a boss. He looked down at Kula his smile dropped for a second before he held up his hands. "Whoa, whoa, whoa- Everyone hold on for a minute. I'm Kula's archdemon, Kula is my familiar. A familiar is a beast or being that an archdemon hires or saves from an incident," He gestured towards Kula's glowing ice blue hue. "In this case Kula lost her eye, I gave it back in return that she serves as my familiar. And no-" He looked towards Nereus, smirking lightly. "That is not the same as siblings."

[Benjamin]

Benjamin’s tail gave a series of quick, short wags as Perth turned his attention to him. His own smile seeming to brighten under the demon’s acknowledgment. As the other’s around began to voice their greetings and various questions, Ben took a step back to let them near, raising a pointed brow at Nereus when the creature asked if ‘boss’ was another word for sibling. Ben had opened his maw to respond, but Perthmail beat him to it and the dog just shrugged in response.

At Perth’s little display of being alive, Ben let out a small chuckle, tail giving another quick series of wags. “Well, now that all of that is out of the way, let me just say that we are all grateful to have you back. I’m sure you've got a great many stories to tell us from your time away, but first. Why not we let the man actually enter the palace proper and get himself settled back in?” Ben directed that last part toward the gathered Legionnaires before turning away.

“Should I go inform the Overseers of your return?” he asked, turning brown eyes back up to the pirate in question.
