The Boundless energy of a cub

[Amy Dearly]

“ Oh that feels nice actually do more.” Amy said.

“ We I was younger I used to wrestle my siblings with armbars and what not. But recently I’ve enjoyed the tickle fights.” Amy said poking the lions belly.

“ Are you ticklish?” Amy said.

[Kijana]

The cub gives another playful growl and tugs on the dogs ear again before getting off her and drops into a crouch.

“Chase me then!” He turns wheeling around and safety out of reach of her paw and wheels away towards Big Springs into the tall grass before quickly trying to hide in it waiting for his new playmate to walk by and pounce again onto her.

Amy was searching very carefully for the lion. She tiptoed very slowly to make sure he wouldn’t get her.

“ Cmon Kijana we are you? I have got two ears for you to touch.” Amy said.

[Kijana]

Two golden eyes peer out of the grass as he watched the dog search around for him with a giggle. Kijana softly wheels to another spot slowly circling around the adult Dalmatian as best he could with his cart. Soon the dog was within reach and Kijana once more lunges onto the dog biting at her neck gently

“Gotcha, Amy!” He laughs
”what is it with you and your ears? You’re weird” he continues gently nomming on her neck

“ You touched them first and I thought you liked them. “ Amy said.

Amy tickling his belly and sides. “ You are a cool guy, fun to hang with.” Amy said.

[Kijana]

“You touched them first and I thought you liked them.“

“What? No, I don’t they are just ears!” The cub tilted his head having let go of her throat to look at her. “I can’t feel that Amy” he says, noticing that she was tickling him “can we do something else?”

“You are a cool guy, fun to hang with.”

“Uh, thanks I guess” he gives a shrug of his shoulder before pulling away from her and moving to big springs to get a drink glancing behind to see if she was following.

Amy followed but wasn’t thirsty.

“So why do you call fun?” Amy said.

“I’m up for anything, as you may know I’m new here so I want to the best I can, so throw me anything.” Amy said.

[Kijana]

“Nothing really, with my legs not working I can’t play as well as you could see” he continues moving along then crouched down getting a drink from the watering hole. “Queen Sarafina’s cubs are to young to play and they are hardly any cubs my age back at the palace” he says looking across the pond watching some animals drink.

“Why don’t you train? If you want to be the best that’s one of the ways to start” he says, looking back over at the adult canine

“ Train? I don’t even know to start or what to do. I just know running and I guess swimming.” Amy said looking around.

“How do you train what do you train with?” Amy said.

“Sarafina do you mean Nala? I think that’s her name.” Amy said.

[Kijana]

“Man do you have some work ahead of you then!” He laughs, smiling. “I know that Mr. Tucker used to be a police dog maybe he could train you when we get back home?” He suggested before the other mentioned Nala.

“My mama said Mr. Crow killed Nala a few months ago” he explained, “so we don’t have to worry about her or the freedom fighters” he gives a shrug, Kijana didn’t know much about what happened to the freedom fighters just that they left and now that the pridelands were under Queen Sarafina’s control
