Jan 3rd, year 1 Dusk had fallen on the city of Paris, many of the citizens, as well as Rouge members were heading the call of soft sheets and comfy pillows. Lanterns and torches cast their glow on the cobblestone streets. Guards wandered around, looking for any sign of trouble as night fell. Soon enough the streets were pretty much deserted, save for a few stragglers and night owls that wandered around.
Jenn was one of these wanderers. Something about the night always seemed more peaceful, more tranquil, and there were less people walking about to worry about bumping into. Not that she had to worry about this at the moment, being perched up atop an archway, people watching those that were still out at this time. She yawned, stretching her wings before tucking them back behind her comfortably.

"Wow, they were right," a low voice, one might call sultry, spoke from below Jenn's perch, "Head towards Notre Dame, take two lefts, look for a 'bird girl in a toga'. "
Megara stood with a hand on her hip, head craned back, "hey up there, I'm looking for Hades, lord of the dead? I was told you could help me??"
Megara had come to Paris for one single reason. To help someone she loved. Someone she was told to let go of because there was no way to save him. Megan didn't believe that, she fought against it. So she came for the one person who could help her. She didn't care what the price might be.

Jenn blinked as she heard the voice. Tilting her head, she leaned back over the edge of the ledge, "Bird girl" eh? That's honestly a first," she chuckled.
Swinging her legs over the edge, she dropped down, landing in front of this strange woman with a flourish of her wings. As she straightened up, fixing her toga, Jenn raised a brow, "You're looking for Hades huh? Yeah sure, I'll take you to him, c'mon." Waving her hand, she strode off in the direction she knew Hades was in.
"Whatever it is you came to see Hades for, it must be important, for you to travel all this way," Jenn mused, trying to break the silence.

Well, that went easier than she expected. Not that Meg was complaining. After the journey and the stress of... well everything, she would take whatever bones were thrown her way. So she followed the 'bird girl'... You know a name would be pretty darn convenient, wouldn't it??
"I can't take credit for coming up for that one. A baker down the way said it," Meg smirked good-naturedly, " 'Course as unique as it is, I think it'd be easier to call you by name. My name is Megara, you can call me Meg... and yooooours?"
Meg gestured to her companion with a slim hand and an incline to her head.
"As for why I'm here to see Hades, yeah, it's pretty damn important," Megara trailed off quietly, obviously she didn't want to elaborate...

"Jenn," she chuckled as Meg asked for her name, "Just Jenn. Nice to meet you, Meg." Brown eyes cast a glance at the other woman, seeing the shift in her expression when she avoided the specifics as to why she was here. Jenn gave a light shrug, "I won't pry then, but Hades most likely will, just letting you know ahead of time."
She led the way through the ever darkening streets, as dusk turned to night, the two were left pretty much the only ones wandering around aside from the guards patrolling the city. Eventually, she walked up to the building the Rouge's members resided in when they weren't doing anything, or just sleeping. Opening the large doors, she led Meg through the halls, until the two reached another door. "Hades! I'm coming in," she called, opening the door and beckoning for Meg to follow.
She chuckled when the sound of grumbling reached her ears. Hades walked into view, frowning at the angel, "Ever heard of knocking, babe?" Jenn raised a brow, "Uhh, considering you never knocked before entering my room back home... no." "What do you want?" Hades asked. Jenn stepped to the side, revealing Meg standing behind her, "This is Megara, she traveled all the way from Greece to see you. Apparently it's something really important."
Hades raised a brow, turning his attention to Meg, flashing a smirk, "Hey there, name's Hades, lord of the dead, hi how ya doin'?" he said, holding his hand out for her to shake. Jenn meanwhile, walked over and plopped herself down on the couch, lazily watching the exchange. "So," Hades hummed, "What brings you all the way here to see lil' ol me, huh? Must be something the other gods couldn't help with. Oh wait, Let me guess. Ya lost someone dear to you. Family member? Boyfriend maybe?"

"Yeah, I mean that's obvious," Meg sighed and rubbed her temple idly, "I don't want to go over it more than I have to. It's a bit of a story."
The the taller of the two Grecian woman stepped carefully along the cobble streets of Paris. Her sandals may protect her soles from the rough edges of stone and other debris... but they did little against the puddles and occasional refuse. Crowded cities would always have their messes.
Jenn lead her to a large building that she assumed were the barracks for the Rogues. She glanced about curiously as she was lead to a specific room. Meg noted that Jenn must be close for her to just barge into what Meg assumed was Hades's personal quart-
Oh.
Megara swallowed when the lord of the underworld appeared into view. He was... intimidating to say the least. A tall, dark form. The end of his black robe fading into a billowing black fog. His scalp was literally a fire and really pushed home that this wasn't an everyday being. This was a being of -power-.
What jarred her even more was the incongruence of seeing a deity -bicker-. That was the only way to describe the casual exchange between Jenn and Hades. They volleyed back and forth with the chemistry of the long acquainted. Judging by the pet name 'babe', Meg hazarded a guess that they might be lovers.
Megara straightened up even more when Hades's gaze fell to her. A jolt of thunder, as if sent by Zeus himself, streaked down her spine when he smirked at her. His teeth were a row of sharp fangs.
In spite of all her reservations and nervousness, Meg covered it all under the cover of a crooked smirk and crooked brow. She prided herself on her cool persona and she wasn't going to let it falter now. Even when facing a god. She briskly slipped her hand forward and shook Hades's, expecting to be burned. (He was literally on fire after all).
"Bingo," she responded when he finished his spiel, "Boyfriend. He's not dead yet. But he's close, on the edge, if he hasn't tipped over while I was traveling here to you. I'm not going to beat around the bush, Hades."
"I'm here to trade. Me for him," she didn't look away from his eyes. Her determination to save the man she loved burned inside her. Nothing would make her look away.

Hades suppressed the urge to roll his eyes at the thought of silly mortals and their problems. Hearing Meg explain how her boyfriend was on the brink of death really wasn't anything that would tug at his heartstrings, if he even had any, like it might someone else. However, his neutral expression slipped when she offered herself in exchange for her boyfriend's life. Raising his brows, he crossed his arms, "So let me get this right, you're willing to give me your soul, in exchange for this guy's?"
"Hope you know what you're getting into here," Jenn called from her spot on the couch. Hades actually did roll his eyes this time, shooting her a look over his shoulder, "Babe, zip it." Jenn gave a lopesided smirk before sticking her tongue out at him.
Ignoring this, Hades turned back to Meg, "Alright then. You give me your soul, and your boyfriend will be alive and well, yada-yada, fine print and all that."

"That's right," Meg responded. She knew a simple plea for mercy wouldn't work. Hades must get countless people begging for their loved ones back. She had hoped that he hadn't gotten many offers of a trade... Looks like her gamble paid off.
"Hope you know what you're getting into here,"
Meg really didn't. But she was desperate. This was stupid and wild... but she needed to. She needed to.
Meg swallowed then slowly extended her hand...
Then lifted it up out of Hades's reach, "For how long?? If I'm giving my soul... I better read the fine print."

Hades reached out to grasp Meg's hand and seal their deal, but was stopped when she pulled it back, questioning the longevity of the deal. A look of annoyance flashed across his face for a brief moment. "Hmm," he hummed, placing a hand under his chin as he thought about it, how long would he need her in his servitude for?
Finally, he decided, placing his focus back on the mortal, "Till the end of this war."

Megara looked aside as she considered it... it was still a vague term, but she didn't want to try the god's patience with haggling.
"This war could never end," Megara looked back to Hades, chin raised, "Until the war ends... or a set of years of your choosing. Whichever comes first..."
Megara's heart was thrumming in terror over this moment. Faced to face with a god, about to give him her very soul...
