The nearer the day came, the more nervous he got. Was he sure that he should do this? Every part of his being told him, HECK NO! But still, Kopa couldn't seem to change his own mind, and therefore, was set on it. There was also something else at the back of Kopa's mind this time. Something he hadn't thought about in months. He pushed the thought down and gazed upon the now rising sun. Quite beautiful, huh? He had this feeling he wouldn't see a sunrise again, but again, he ignored it. How paranoid could he have been? Instead of being in the middle of the Dawnseeker's camp, where he normally was these days.
Could things have gotten worse? Already, he could see people detested him still, though that could have been because he didn't show any sign of being any less arrogant. But in truth, he had changed. Just a bit, not much, but enough to not be blindsided by arrogance. But he always still seemed to be blindsided. He was grateful that no one was around, because all he could do was groan in frustrations. Particularly at nothing but air.
Kopa was not in a happy mood, but he wasn't in a grumpy mood either. Well, not yet at least. Thoughts of bitter revenge or anger arose, and he had to force them down. Why? Why did he feel unrelenting anger all the time? he wished he knew. He had found out who killed his dad, his life long obsession, and he also found out that Kiara wasn't fully his sister, only partially. but did he care? Not really. The red-maned lion decided that what the heck, to go sit down under a tree.
"Life's just great, huh?" he muttered to himself. "One moment, you feel amazing, the next, you fall on your face..." he grunted. "What luck I have," muttered Kopa.
