Backstory:
Conceived shortly after Mufasa's death in a bout of the new king's spite, Kula was hardly a welcome addition to Sarabi's fallen family. Try as she might the former queen was unable to love the offspring of her husband's brother as she knew she ought. She didn't care much as a cub for the way Sarabi's eyes would light with warmth whenever she spoke about her dearly departed son. Why didn't she ever smile like that for Kula? Not even when Kula was a good little cub or tried to impress her was she graced with more than a fraction of that smile. The green-eyed cub was thus raised more by her father than mother, a choice on Scar's part that ensured his daughter's everlasting love and loyalty. In all he did she followed, no matter the cost. She would die for her father. She would kill for her father.
And she did. Starting with her half-brother Simba.
She'd dreamt of it for years before knowing he'd even lived. How she'd have torn Simba apart for stealing her mother's love from her, thereby punishing them both. Finding that her half-brother was alive was then a blessing and a curse. She was driven from the Pridelands along with her family, eager though she was to return and shed blood. When it became known that there was to be an ambush on the king of the Pridelands and a few of his finest Kula all but attacked anyone who dared stop her from running point. She took great pride in the part she played in the attack, boasting afterwards amongst her fellow soldiers over how easily she and her band had bled Simba and his weaklings dry.
All in all a nasty piece of work.
