Backstory:
Born to the king and queen of the Pridelands, it was decided early on that it was Kiara that would take on the mantle of heir. She was raised to this task despite her hesitancy on the subject as a cub, deciding early on that becoming queen as an adult would be no fun. This made the most sense in her child's mind, but a meeting with an Outsider cub named Kovu she began to wonder. Would being queen mean that she could give those who deserved second chances a new life? Could she then overturn laws made that offered no leniency to the less fortunate?
With this train of thought in mind Kiara took her training much more seriously, even embracing her future responsibilities. The threat of her great-uncle was a constant as were the presences of his mates and cub just beyond the borders of the Outlands, but with increased security and the beginning of a war Kiara and her siblings found themselves more confined to the interior of the Pridelands where the threat was minimal. Kiara took to shadowing her father in the early days of the war, learning what she could about both the Pridelands and the war effort. Everything was connected now, and knowledge regarding both was a must.
Then... Her father never returned from a patrol. Nor did many of their best, who had been guarding Simba.
A mourning Kiara now spends much of her time within and around Pride Rock; terrified of the prospect of losing more of her family.
