Personality:
To be blunt Amber is a pessimist and an asshole("Oh, there's a massive bear on the rampage? Yeah, we're going to die."). He rarely ever sees the good in any outcome and is always expecting the worst to happen even if it doesn't half the time. And when things do go right don't expect him to be excited about it because chances are he'll just shrug his shoulders and brush it off as a 'lucky break'. Despite his bleak outlook on life, however, Amber is actually an extremely hard worker and will go to any lengths to make sure the job he's been given is done. He's committed to his work and doesn't let anything stop him. He also does have a caring side, he wants to protect those who are close to him and hates the idea of anything bad ever happening to them. Like with his job, he will go to any lengths to protect them. At times, especially those in which things are calm and laid-back, Amber can have a quick-witted and snarky side. He isn't afraid to taunt others, even those he considers friends, just to get a rile out of them. Of course it's all in good fun and he doesn't usually mean anything by it, but that doesn't stop him from getting a laugh out of it anyway. All in all, Amber is actually a really simple character, though he does have his moments.
Backstory:
Amber was born to a small family of foxes that lived on the outskirts of a small village. The start of his life was peaceful, and he shared that start with his parents and twin brothers. Sadly, things didn't stay that way for very long. When Amber was five years old, a gang of wolves from a neighboring village ravaged Amber's community and raided his family's home. His father, being the brave and stubborn fox that he was didn't go out without a fight and in the end it cost both him and his family dearly. One by one, Amber's family was slowly killed off until only he was left. Amber, taking after his father in both bravery and stubbornness in spades, didn't go out quietly either. He did his best to fight back against his attackers and eventually the leader of the gang, a dark red female with a scarred muzzle, came forward and called off the other wolves. Seemed she had taken a liking to Amber's will to survive and told her gang that they were taking him with them. Though reluctant, the pack did as they were told and took the little fox kit in.
For the next twenty years, Amber was raised by the wolves. He came to see himself as one, despite the fact that many of them made taunts at him for being a fox. When Amber was ten, the leader of the gang decided that Amber was going to start training to take on a critical job. For a good while, for about the next five years or so, Amber wasn't even sure what he was training for, just that it was incredibly intense in more ways than one. It wasn't until he was given his first assignment that Amber knew. He had heard of the position before, had been told stories about it from his parents(the wolf ones), but he'd only ever thought it was just that. Stories. Seemed he'd been wrong. He carried out his assignment as planned, though it wasn't without its flaws. He was still training after all. Still, he got the job done, as quietly and discreet as possible. By the time he got home, he was too tired to even bother with the blood that was staining his fur. But that was a given, he had just performed an assassination after all. Yes, he'd heard stories and was told tells, but he'd never thought it was real. Now he was one. Now, Amber was an Assassin.
After his first assignment Amber continued to train and hone his skills, and soon enough he could carry out even the most complicated of assassinations virtually undetected. He'd become a master at his craft, and he was proud of that fact. Eventually, when news of the budding war started to rise, Aura(the leader of the pack) saw the cause as an opportunity and sent Amber out to join the Rogues with the orders to report back to her periodically. With his mission in place, Amber set out and eventually found himself placed in the Rogue's army with the very rank he held within his own pack.
