Shani dug her muzzle into her bag, pulling out more bandages, then again she dove in and grabbed a bottle of antiseptic, identifiable by the specific herbs and plants used to make it, and some cloth. One more shuffle around in her bag produced a baggie with thread and a needle. She set all these down in front of Hikaru.
"I can help bandage and clean the minor wounds, but I can't stitch up anything, do you think you could do that Hikaru? Once we get the worst of it, we can get her to the medic tent, and the others can help with anything else." She then turned to the alien, slowly taking a few steps forward, careful to make sure that the stranger didn't feel threatened. "Is it alright if I look at your wounds?" she asked before getting too close. Hikaru had said she understood English, she only hoped one of them would translate whatever answer she received, whether a nod or shake of the head.

"Yes. I've done my own stitches before," stiches, setting her broken bones, popping joints back into place... father told her she needed to be as self-reliant as possible. Sometimes one couldn't get medical attention while on the road. Sometimes you had to take care of yourself.
She lifted up the baggy with the needle and thread, examining it. It seemed sealed to keep it sterile for use. The needle was hooked slightly to make it easier to curl through flesh, and pre-threaded. Good.
Hikaru unsealed the bag and then looked back at Zamora, "Shani is a trained doctor. She'll help you. I'll stitch your wound shut. Ready?"

Please, let it be another map. Please
Silver silently begs in the back of his mind as he watches the escape pod hit the earth from a mile or so away, watching the light fade and burn. The cyborg allows others to investigate first Not because He was warily but because he wanted to get a good look at the occupant of the craft. His cybernetic eye zooms and whirls as he inspects the scene. He could make out his young helper,Hikaru along with the blind medic lion cub, Shani already on the scene of the crash. He watches as Hikaru gets ready to tend to the creatures wounds and the more he stares at the creature the more he realizes that it’s a pit beast, much to his surprise. An amusing smirk slides across his plump lips he had heard of these creatures, hell even saw a male one in passing during his travels but never really studied them. Slowly the old cyborg makes his way towards the cash site and paused in step next to Hercules who he gives a nod in greeting.
“Who do we have here?” He called out, his hands stuffed in the pockets of his dark colored coat.

By now, Zamora’s begin to realize that she must have landed near... something. A settlement? Maybe a village? Unless Hikaru acts against someone, they all seems to be friendly. At least this one, she’s heard coming. And the scent... familiar. Like the traders, with their machines and their ships. Those who brought strange things from all over the galaxy. Not like those dark strangers, that only took, and took people at that.
There’s a mumble here, something of a weary greeting, and the bladed end of her tail wraps once, twice around her ankle, as if to brace herself against any pain an imminent reaction. Dark skin rolls over sinew and muscle like a liquid, and Zamora stretches with a groan to allow access to her wound.
Most of her wounds are small cuts and bruises, most likely from the crash. The main source of blood, however, is the ragged stump where a fourth arm used to go. It’s been taken off clear at the joint, and the tearing of the skin and muscle insinuates that it wasn’t lost via a blade or crushing, but by pulling with heavy force. If one were to investigate, there’s a dent on the pod door, as well, and it’s drenched in drying blood.
She pulled the arm off herself, it seems, as means to escape.
Zamora’s blind eyes blink in a dazed, discordant manner, and she keeps down a growl. It must still hurt.

The crackling noise of the speaker sparking to life jarred him awake from a heavy sleep. One that he didn't even know he had fallen into. Mismatched hues were wide, staring at the paper underneath his cheek before he sat up. Scattering the mishmash stacked papers of battle plans and intelligence information off of his desk and into the air. His typically neat hair was a disheveled mess and his glasses that were also typically neat and tidy barely stayed perched on his nose. Not even a beat after sitting up they slid off the last bit of it and towards the desk. The fall making an audible 'CLACK' against the surface of his desk though he didn't take a hint of notice when it occurred.
His wild gaze was much more focused on quickly darting around his tent for any signs of danger but when it was clear there wasn't any he dropped his head back against the table. His forehead knocked against the wood with a loud thud and a low growl of annoyance left him. It was mostly directed towards himself. He didn't have time for sleep, he had plans to make, things to do. Sleep while required only set to delay those plans that he could be making or setting to work. He muttered a 'damnit' under his breath, vocalizing his frustration.
'Oh well,' he sighed to himself. There was not much he could do about it now. A heavy sigh left him heaving up his shoulders with the effort of it. He reached a hand out towards the corner of his desk. Fingers clasping the small turn knob of his lantern and with a quick flick of his wrist his lantern flickered off. All the light from his tent died within an instant, causing an eerie pitch black to blossom throughout. The only source of light within the four walls of the tent came from his glowing mismatched eyes in the darkness. Max's words blared over the speaker system clearly. His voice echoed throughout the camp it alerted everyone and their mother of the pod crash. Sometimes Jasper was thankful they had a com system now, but other times? Boy, he wished he had made more regulations about it.
Jasper made the distance from his desk to the entrance of his tent with sluggish motivation. He pushed one flap of his tent out of the way. A frown pulling at the corner of his lips as his gaze caught the sight of smoke pillars drifting into the sky from the space pod. That would most definitely attract attention they did not want. They needed that dealt with and quickly. Had he not been in such a sour mood perhaps he would have found this situation a wee bit amusing. Afterall he arrived to earth in a similar fashion. Though his arrival had been less dramatic.
He cast away his own thoughts, it was not a time to dwell on the past. He pushed himself forward and towards the scene of the wreck. His body weaved in and out between the tents and soon he arrived at to the crash site. One of his hands clasped Silver's shoulder, 'announcing' his presence. "Silver." He greeted quietly before carefully closing the distance between himself and Zamora. A pit fighter? How... Odd.
Odd indeed. "How is our guest doing Miss Hikaru?"

The blaring noise was rather startling, to say the least. The alien creature turned dog had yet to encounter such an object, and at first it sent her into a confused panic. Then she calmed as she heard the voices booming over the speaker. So it was a communication device, alright. And...what an interesting message. An alien crash landing near the campsite. Well she certainly sympathized with whoever that was. She was only glad she and her brother hadn't had to crash here.
Quickly remembering her duties after recognizing the source of the noise, Rose had dashed from her tent and gone to collect medical supplies of her own, unaware that Shani had just done that exact same thing. Not until the young dog who moreso resembled a pup came dashing up just behind the blind lioness cub. "Oh dear, I'm sorry I didn't come sooner. It.." She glanced at the supplies in Hikaru's hands.
"It looks like everything's taken care of. Just let me know if there's anything I can do." She sat down next to Shani, trying not to stare at the bloody stump of arm in front of her. Despite being a medic too much blood made her frightfully woozy. Instead, she opted to focus on the face of the creature in front of her. She certainly wasn't like anything she'd ever seen on Canitoria, that was for sure. She had to have come from some other world. Nonetheless, it wasn't in her to be rude. She smiled at the newcomer, fixing her with her bright gaze. "Hello."

With Shani able to tend to the side wounds, Hikaru focused on Zamora's main wound.
First thing first, Hikaru hated to peel away at the layer of bandages they had used to staunch the bleeding. It would cause the wound to lose what little coagulation it had managed to accumulate, but it needed to be done.
She had hoped it wouldn't have been as bad as she thought. Be careful what you wish for. It was worse.
Hikaru wasn't sure how Zamora was still alive.
The limb was torn off, the flesh broken and jagged. Bone snapped and exposed to the air. There was no way to easily seal this wound. Hikaru's jaw shifted, teeth gritting together a little harder, that was the only shift in her expression at the sight of all this terrible gore. Things like fear and disgust were all distractions from what needed to be done. Which was anything to save Zamora's life.
With the bare wound uncovered she quickly located the arteries that sluggishly pumped away at Zamora's life giving blood. How much had she lost? How much more could she afford to lose? She already had succumbed to shock, if not through pain alone, certainly from this blood loss. Hikaru quickly began to pinch off and seal the worst of the bleeding as quickly and best as she could. Her hands were immediately coated in slick blood making her work all the more difficult. She focused on the needle and her fingers with laser point focus. She couldn't afford to slip or drop her work.
While she worked Rose approached, good, she'd be able to direct Shani more specifically towards the wounds while Hikaru could focus.
"Her arm is torn off. The limb is nowhere to be found," Hikaru lamented the less than sterile conditions, even if Zamora survived the night with her blood loss, who's to say the wound wouldn't turned gangrenous? "She's going to need this cauterized as soon as possible. I don't know how much blood she's lost. I can't even tell you her vitals... Some one is going to need to run ahead to the medic's tent and get a fire going to heat up something so that we can cauterize this as soon as we can get her there..."
It was the most Hikaru had ever spoken to Shani or Rose. Not out of rudeness or being aloof, but merely because Hikaru only said what needed to be said. And this all definitely needed to be said.
Hikaru finished tying off her surgeons knots and finally turned to reply to Silver and Jasper. She hadn't been ignoring them, simply had been very focused on her task, "Her name is Zamora, she can understand English, but can't speak it. She's doing poorly. Lots of blood loss. Shock. We need to get her to the medic's tent as soon as possible."
Hikaru turned her focus back to Zamora, "Can you walk?"

Shani had quickly become focused on her work, sanitizing and bandaging wounds as best she could, only half paying attention to the new arrivals that were showing up one after another. Each time someone spoke, her ears twitched, but her paws never strayed from what she was doing.
The cub listened intently as Hikaru explained the extent of the injuries and she felt her heart plummet to the bottom of her stomach. An arm torn completely off, no wonder she could smell so much blood. Pausing from wrapping bandages, she turned to the direction of the gathered group, keeping one paw on the wraps to keep them in place, "Alright, listen up, anyone who isn't a medic, Hikaru, or Jasper, please clear off, now! You'll only be causing her more stress and that's the last thing we want right now. Silver, can you please go to the medic tent and help Rapunzel get that fire going, and fill her in on what's going on? And Rose, I need you over here, I think I've got the worst of her wounds bandaged, but a good set of eyes would be helpful right now."
She hadn't meant to bark out orders as harsh as she had, but if things were as bad as Hikaru said, then time was of the essence, and they needed to move quickly, there was no time to dawdle.

The damage that Zamora had was immediately clear with the heavy scent of blood that lingered in the air. The mere tinge of it had the shapeshifter's nose wrinkling in disdain. It brought back horrid memories that he did not want to remember. He had to steel his expression to the best of his abilities, a task that was easier said than done.
His silver and green brilliant hues glanced down towards the small Shani who barked out the order for those who were not needed to clear off and felt a little pride enter his chest. Shani was starting to grow in confidence, she had began to grow use to her job as medic. That was good.
He didn't focus too long on that though, his attention quickly flitted over to repeat the order. His voice near barking the repeated sentence out. He had to make it clear that those who weren't needed had to clear off and once they did he turned his attention back to the group. He closed the distance between them and himself, and he knelt down beside Hikaru with a grunt. The small effort seemed to cause him pain, the smallest flicker of a bare of teeth occurred though it was gone just as quickly as it had come. "I can cauterize the wound now, it may take too long to get her back to the tent. It's obvious already that she's lost quite a sum of blood, I don't want to risk losing her." He glanced towards Hikaru and Shani before he turned his palm to face upward a small spark flitted in the center of his hand before a small flame burst into life. Magic.
It was not often Jasper would show this side of himself, but he thought it was necessary to do so in that moment.

A booming noise had sent a tremor through the ground beneath Kanzi's head, belly and paws and jolted them awake. They groggily raised their head. At most, Kanzi had been asleep for a cub paw's breadth of stars moving in the sky, and they regretted staying up so late. Through heavy-lidded eyes, the cream cub then noticed that the nests adjacent to theirs was empty, and their heart skipped a beat.
"Shani! Rose!"
In a split second, Kanzi had gone from half-awake to fully alert. They got up, threw on their pack and sped out through the tent flap as though their tail had caught on fire. By then, the whole camp was swarming like an anthill that had been stepped on, and Kanzi smelled smoke and began to panic. What was going on? Was there a fire? Were they under attack? What should they do? What were they going to do?
Then Max's speakers blared through the chaos, bringing an uneasy clarity to Kanzi. So that was where Shani and Rose most likely were. Kanzi bounded over to the crash site.
"Shani, Rose, you've been here longer than I have. What do you need me to do?" Kanzi asked quickly between ragged breaths. It looked like Shani and Rose had already bandaged Zamora's more severe wounds, thank goodness, but they needed to get her to the medic's tent fast.
Then, Jasper suggested cauterizing the wound first as a small orange flame sparked in an open palm. Kanzi nodded grimly. They did not envy Zamora right now. She was already in a lot of pain. But it was where they were at. They might not make it to the tent at this rate.
"We may need to hold her down then," Kanzi said in a hushed tone to Shani and Rose so that Zamora could not hear.
