January 12th The muggy heat pressed in on those outside. The ground smoldered and sent up a disorientating haze as the scorched yellow sand shimmered in the sun's intense rays. Even the birds were quiet, and the leaves stood still as if they were too hot to move.
Nasira would have preferred to hold off on shopping until later in the day, but she had work then. The task itself was daunting. Nasira usually had a kul do it for her, but the last of the kullar had died from...complications, so now she had to do it herself. The horror.
"Okay, we're almost done," Nasira promised while she appraised an amethyst she needed for a wisdom spell.

For many days now, Princess Jasmine of Agrabah had to endure the anxiety and concern for her beloved nation after it was occupied by the Blackblood Legion, the same people who banished her and the entire royal family from the sultanate. Although she was given a place among the Freedom Fighters, where she hoped to reclaim Agrabah, she couldn't help but feel as if they were too slow to act while her people had to live in fear of the tyranny of Maleficent and her overseers.
Finally, Jasmine's apprehension and anxiety got the best of her and she decided to take actions on her own. With the help of four Freedom Fighter soldiers, Jasmine infiltrated Agrabah and tried to make her way to the palace, where she planned to overthrow the Blackblood regime.
As she made her way to the marketplace, disguised as a commoner, she decided to wait until nightfall, when the palace is less protected. "Ah, yes. I'll take one of those, please." Jasmine said to a merchant as she noticed he was selling daggers. She hoped she wouldn't have to use one, but she felt she'd need something to threaten the overseers with, especially since she was planning to take one as a hostage once she made her way to the palace.
After purchasing the dagger, Jasmine walked to an alley where she carefully strapped the dagger to her leg.

The silver-furred Akita trotted in, head held high with a smile on her face.
“Nasira, I didn’t know if you needed anything else from the bazaar, but I sent Corson to go anyways, to pick up some food for you, so you’re not hungry later during your meeting.” Sol said.
Meanwhile, the looming shape of Corson ambled along one of Agrabah’s many alleyways, attempting to find his way to the other side of the massive bazaar. The sun was starting to finally go down from its former place around noon, and secretly, he was thankful. Soon, it would be easy for him to sneak around.
He felt silly, being ordered around by a dog, but Sol tended to know when Nasira would be hungry, and she was always worried about keeping her handler fed. Corson thought it odd, as it should’ve been the other way around. But he pressed on, before his golden eyes locked onto something interesting:
If it wasn’t the former crown princess of Agrabah herself, attempting to attach a dagger to the sheath on her thigh. He had seen paintings of her in the palace before, stashed away in some hidden room.
Corson’s shadow eclipsed Jasmine’s own, and because of his size, he blocked out a substantial amount of sunlight from the rafters above.
“What a wonderful surprise, Princess. How kind of you to grace us with your presence.”

“Yeah what are you looking at, buster?”
Nil’s voice cut through a lull in the usual rabble of the bizarre. It wasn’t like the citizens of Agrabah were unjustified in staring; the short sorceress literally had a tiny snow cloud floating over her head. It was too hot for the icy fairy’s liking, so she made a tiny flurry of cyan around her to keep the temperature in her vicinity at least somewhat reasonable. Just as the citizens began to go back to their daily activities, Nil stopped in front of a jeweler’s stand. After an extended critical look toward his wares, she pointed a turquoise necklace out.
“I’ll take this,” she stated.
Nil knew she didn’t have to pay if she absolutely didn’t want to: but instead, she opened her palm and out from it spawned a single silver coin. It dropped beside the necklace in front of the surprised vendor as her talon went in to pick it up.
“Hope that covers it,” she said, taking her purchase and continuing on.
It wasn’t long after that when Nil became aware of another member of her faction. It wasn’t exactly hard to pick him out. She watched Corson for a moment before she decided to involve herself, if only out of curiosity. She walked behind the pole of an awning and when she emerged from the other side, she took the form of an oversized canine-like beast. The thylacine creature used its claws to scale the nearby building with ease. Only small taps from overhead signaled the beast as it crawled over the rafters.

Jasmine almost yelped in surprise when she heard someone address her. Luckily, she managed to strap the dagger to her leg just in time. "Princess? I don't know what you're talking about." Jasmine said, pulling her black hijab forward to cover her forehead and mouth.
"You have me confused with someone else. I have to go." she continued, walking the other direction. She had no idea how the stranger recognized her so easily, but if he did, blending with the crowd would be harder than she thought.
Jasmine hurried out of the alley and back to the marketplace, worried she was being followed, she hid within a group of women wearing similar abayas as she was. She followed them wherever they went until about an hour passed and she was sure she was alone once more. The women went their separate ways as they had apparently reached a residential area.
Jasmine realized she'd have to go back to the bazaar, as it was the only public place located near the palace. So she went from alley to alley, cautious of any unwanted company, until she was nearing the market.
"Where's Genie when you need him? At this point, I'd wish I could conjure myself into the palace." the princess sighed.

A giant Indian python whose name was Kaa slithered towards the marketplace, hoping to find some shade to get out of this dastardly heat. In the jungle, it was moist and cool. However, here in the desert, it was scorching. But before he could think or move any further. He spotted a woman running away from something he couldn't see. He felt himself lick his lips. He slithered after her and followed her to an alleyway that led to the marketplace. He hissed loudly.
"Who are you?" he said coolly. Kaa slithered closer, his eyes slits. An alleyway was a very odd place to be in.

After nearing the market through the alley, Jasmine sighed and leaned against the wall. She knew evening would come soon and had to wait somewhere she'd be undisturbed.
But once again, Jasmine realized she was not alone as she heard someone behind her. "Who...me?" Jasmine asked, without looking back, fearing it was another one of Nasira's underlings. "I'm just a traveler. Can I help you with something?"

The white viper slithers along the ground trailing behind the python his forked tongue flicking in and out tasting the air as he smells. Voices suddenly reach his ears and he pauses behind a stack of crates watching the conversation between Jasmine and Kaa. He grins before silently moving behind the woman making eye contact with Kaa asking him to give him the signal to sink his fangs into this so called traveler.

Kaa hissed. A traveler, eh? "I don't think I believe that," He glanced to where Apep was, and nodded to him, then turned back to the "traveler" with a small smile.
His eyes turned to slits and he started at the traveler. He wouldn't know if this worked, but he'd give it a shot.

Jasmine turned around and was surprised that it was a snake talking to her. "Well, then I...uh...I'd prefer just to be alone now.." Jasmine said, confused. She couldn't help but notice something was...off about the snake's eyes.
