Jan 15th “ HSSSSss!” The creature shrieked, leering, causing the small cluster of humans who’d been closing in to ungracefully flee the alley. The wolf-sized spiky thing appeared to be in a great deal of distress. It was first spotted sprinting through the streets, zig-zagging erratically and spitting at anything unfortunate enough to be in its vicinity. It’d only recently found the alley and had been hiding at the end of the dark, enclosed space. When word had gotten out, a small party went in an attempt to catch the creature to bring it somewhere else and try to calm it down; maybe even check if it was diseased. But the small beast wasn’t letting anyone near. Once the humans cleared off, it started to walk back-and-forth at the end of the passage. It breathed noisily, foam spraying out from its pinkish teeth. As a shadow appeared at the other end of the alley, the thing lifted its head. What appeared to be a wide smile stretched across its face. Pale, glassy eyes stared out from either side of its sloping nose. Another hiss came from its mouth, but this one sounded more voiced, as if they creature might’ve been able to speak.

Meg looked into the dark alley way and saw the feral... something, she had been looking for. With a nod she pulled back and called out, "Over here."
Megara had been one of the humans that the creature had hissed at. She hadn't bothered joining the party that tried to capture it. Seemed a stupid endeavor, that thing was dangerous. No, this looked like a job for some one more powerful. Someone like Hades, Lord of the Underworld? Even if the god griped about it being beneath him, Megara had done a pretty good job selling it as something he should look into as the whole second-in-command deal.
A small petty part of her enjoyed bothering him about it. Okay, a BIG petty part of her.

Long, narrow face lifted up over its shoulders, jittering slightly. Light blue eyes stared out on either side of its head. It didn’t appear to be focusing on anything for a while. The black jowls that had been stretched wide to either side of its jaws began to relax. Short ears tilted forward and finally it seemed like the beast’s eyes were looking at something physical -- dead ahead. Briefly, the smile dropped as it looked out of the alley.
Almost hand-like front paws splayed against the stone ground as it began to walk toward the light. Its long, spike-covered tail swished. Quills made a solid knocking sound as they brushed a barrel at the end of the alley. Its mouth had almost relaxed into a state that might make it pass for a normal animal before the front of its mouth twitched a few times, briefly flashing rodentlike front teeth. Whiskers pulled back and it brought its tongue against its front teeth.
“O v e r h e r e .”
The voice, if one could call it that, was strident and unnatural, as if the vocal cords were ill-equipped to handle the sound that ran through them.
