I'm not entirely sure this is a topic that would need a whole thread dedicated to it, but here's my suggestion.
I have noticed that a few different members have their characters speak in different languages, which is totally fine in and of itself, it gives a good sense of diversity, but for those of us that don't know said language either have to try and guess what the character is saying or have to look up translations(which can be a hassle because Google Translate is atrocious more often than not). I suggest that if you have your character speak in a non-English language(be it an Earth one or Alien) that you give a translation either in the post itself or at the bottom so that people can know what your character is saying. This same style is used a lot for fanfics so I thought maybe it could be used here too.
