Two separate loosely related things;
1: Maybe consider moving the deadline for Activity Checks to Saturday or Sunday rather than Friday. Reason being that would give people with a regular workweek/classes a whole day or two to get their posts in. I can only speak for myself, but I have a full time job that's sometimes physically intensive and I definitely do not have the energy after work to post. Whether or not I have time before work is pretty much a crap shoot. So far, last call for Activity Checks were while I was at work and couldn't do anything even if I wanted to, and maybe I'm not the only one like this. I think that one or two days of weekend extra could really improve the results of the Activity Checks since more people will probably be able to find the time then rather than on a Friday.
2: Maybe some sort of system/rules for when threads close or are considered inactive? I think two weeks or so without activity is a fair enough point to start asking those involved if they'd like to continue. Also, maybe keep in mind all RPers work at a different pace. I can sorta understand in arc/plot/battle centric threads to be fairly strict. But for interaction threads?? Personally, I feel super rushed to get through my threads and am feeling like they're being called off before anything can really happen. I'm mostly confused about the rush to close everything. I don't feel like my characters can breathe and develop if I have to keep introducing them to new threads because the slightly older ones are under threat of closing.
