Cassandra doesn't remember much from her childhood. At least, not before being adopted anyway, and even then she only remembers bits and pieces. Being raised as the Captain of the Guards' daughter wasn't easy, at least, not in the since one would think. Cass was pretty sheltered for the first few years of her life and her father was constantly trying to keep her away from anything that could harm her. When she expressed an interest in becoming part of the guard the initial answer was a big fat no, but Cassandra was persistent and she worked hard. She started secretly training when she was six and by the time she was ten she had more than proven herself worthy of the position, but still, when she asked her dad again the answer was no. Not one to be discouraged easily, Cassandra kept up with her training
