Full Name: John Chapman
Known Aliases: Johnny Appleseed
Army: Neutral
Rank: Appleseed Planter
Franchise: Melody Time / American Legends
Gender: Male
Age: 23
Personality: Humble, brave, and all-around saint, perhaps Johnny's greatest strength is his work ethic. Whether it be climbing a mountain to reach the spring at the top, or calming down an angry bear to protect frontier settlers, Johnny never backs down from a hard job, even if he's been going all day long. With a whistle and a smile on his face, Johnny rolls up his sleeves and gets right to business. He is level-headed, able to perceive problems without getting too emotional or heated. Some have even likened his disposition to a deeply rooted apple tree, able to simply sway in winds of fear hostilities without losing his cool.
The most important things in life for Johnny are growing his apple trees and living by the morals of his Bible and his Lord. He's a humble Christian, although more focused on spreading Christ's love to others than to simply have higher moral ground than others. (Contrast his attitude with someone like Judge Frollo.) His Bible quotes are almost always chosen to uplift and inspire whoever he speaks to, and he finds hardly any man made out to be his foe or rival. His only enemy are those who seek to harm the world around them for selfish gain, and to them, Johnny strives constantly to convert and persuade them to change their ways.
Backstory: John "Johnny" Chapman has always been a man to believe in miracles. Why, the Lord gave him apple seeds to plant and grow apple trees, weren't that a miracle? That's what he grew up thinking as his mother and father taught him the noble, but mostly stationary, art of planting apple trees. They raised him on the Christian values of the Holy Bible and made sure that he knew that God blesses those who are diligent in their studies and faithful in the worship of the Lord. Johnny knew that and believed it with all his heart, but as he watched more and more folks leave for the untamed West to claim glory and land for themselves, Johnny grew a desire to go.
As fate would have it, Papa Chapman got real sick that same year, and Ma got injured on her way back from market one day. Johnny's hopes for heading West himself grew dimmer and dimmer until they died out, being forced to stay home and care for his parents. The young man couldn't help but feel the rising envy and jealousy growing within him. His attempts to shoo it away led to assumptions and attacks on his self-esteem. Johnny seemed doomed to live life dejected and filled with regrets of never heading west.
A gosh-darned guardian angel from the Good Lord himself showed Johnny his true path; to travel West, but to plant apple trees all along his way. Armed with a bag full of the seeds, the Holy Bible and a metal pot for a hat, Johnny paid his parent's debts, and when both grew well, the scrawny 16-year-old set off for the West. Wasn't long before Johnny's apple trees took root in the American soils and became part of the folk legends. But Johnny kept on traveling.
Years flew by, and the young man heard rumors of a war between a far-off land, where magical animals and men with mythic powers met in combat to reclaim lost kingdoms. All of that was tall tales and odd stories to Johnny's ears, though; he was content to focus on his apple trees and give them a "little loving boost" to grow quicker (in reality, the glowing embers of terramancy beginning to burn after 7 years of working with nature). When the war grew close to home, and he actually realized lives were being endangered, he realized he didn't know who was right and who was wrong. Trusting his parent-given morals and his God-given book and abilities, Johnny planned to travel around, figure out who in the world was causing all of this ruckus, and put a stop to it over several pints of apple cider (Or maybe some apple pies... Johnny still needed to work the kinks out of that).

(NOTE: Was hoping to explore the possible ideas of Johnny using a primative form of terramancy in relation to his connection to plants and wildlife. If y'all think that wouldn't be a bright idea, please let me know. Thank you!)
