Greece certainly had changed a bit since they were well, killed. Everything was so strange. Structures that were brand new and glistening white were either now rubble on the earth or felt fake due to the modern age. Humans were still humans in their own stupid ways, fighting over stupid things and the like. Some things did stay the same, thankfully. Mainly, how humans were such cowards who'd turn tail at the sight of a monster and leave their precious livestock behind.
"It's nice to see that some things haven't changed, even if the humans seemed to have gotten much uglier." Python chuckled to themselves, downing the last of the small goat herd they had taken from some human shepherds. "All it took was a hiss and a baring of the fangs and there they went in the distance faster then Icarus after flying too close to the sun! Ah, I make myself laugh."
At least they didn't have to fight for their first meal since coming back from the dead. Python wasn't as mighty as they had been when Apollo killed them, so they didn't have much in the way of magic or bodily strength to fight in a full on conflict. The blood spilled that day wasn't their own, but sooner or later, it would be. Python would just have to figure out how to regain their strength and get their previous powers back. Mother dearest would not be able to help, so they were on their own.
"Hmm, now, I wonder," Python mused as they picked at their teeth with an idle claw. "How should I start to get my power back? The easiest might be to steal some stupid human's magic, but I am not a thief nor small, so that won't do. It might have to involve some stupid hero and ending their crusade dead in its tracks. I certainly hope not. Heroes don't exactly go down well..."

It was nice to be back in Greece. While France was interesting and all, there was something about being home that made it easy to just forget about the war for a moment or two. Well... right above home anyway. But she needed to get out of the Underworld now and then, or end up feeling like a caged bird.
Not to mention, strange and unusual creatures were more of a commodity around here, like an angel, or a dragon, for example. "Don't we all know that," A chuckle came from above the creature, sitting in an olive tree, Jenn looked down on the snake-like dragon with an almost empathetic smile. "Heroes, magic users... necromancers, all of them can be a right pain in the arse to take out, that's for sure."
There was a tilt of her head as she looked at the creature with interest, feathers ruffling as she made her way down from the tree, landing carefully near them. "Not for lack of trying, granted," she gave them a small smirk, "Name's Jenn, by the by."

Python was rather startled to hear someone else talking, and had looked up to stare at... just whatever Jenn was. The being looked human except for the faintly colored purple wings that hung out of her back, and it made them both curious and on edge. Just what was Jenn in the first place? Python couldn't place just what she could be with any of the species that came up in their mind. Might as well ask, if they weren't going to attack.
"That such beings are," Python replied with a skeptic eye on Jenn. "I personally hate heroes who aren't easy to go down, both in battle and... down the throat, really. They always taste like edgy heroism and parental issues more often then not. Gods, if that isn't a taste that I don't mind forgetting after dying." The serpent dragon had then made a disgusted face and stuck their tongue out from memories of failed heroes from back in the day.
"Though, I am pleased to meet you... Jenn," Python replied to Jenn's introduction. "I am... Python. Though, if I may ask, just what the hell are you? You surely can't be a harpy, because they're all usually just ugly and nonstop screeching about anything that makes them annoyed."

A light chuckle escaped her lips as Jenn sat down on a large tree root protruding from the ground, her wings tucked behind her as she perched. She showed no sign of being a threat to the dragon, if anything she was more at ease among creatures than people. Perhaps that was why she got along with Cerby so well.
"No, definitely not a harpy, though I do know a few, alright folk, if not a bit... loud," She gave a small wince at the thought of the harpies loud shrieking voices, before addressing Python's question, "I'm an angel actually. Kinda like a goddess, but without the holier-than-though attitude and family issues."
"I'm one of the advisers for the Rouge army, actually. I... I'm guessing you heard of the huge war going on?" She gave a small tilt of her head, she was pretty sure most of everyone on this side of the world knew of the war, they had been getting people joining the Rouges from all over the place after all.
"The Rouges actually just expanded, we're looking for more people to join for our second base. If you're interested... It might be a good way to get your powers back? I heard you mention something about needing to kill a hero, I know there's a really stupid hero residing in the freedom fighter army that my boss would really like to see kick the bucket."

Okay, so they weren't a harpy, that was good. There was only so much Python could take of a harpy's constant bitching about anything and everything. Even worse was a whole flock of them. Those things were like a nest of insects you couldn't get rid of with conventional means unless you resorted to less than bloody measures. Python had to do that once when a nest of them tried to occupy the old temple, and the only way to get them to buzz off was to kill the leader. Cut off the tail, the snake lives, but cut off its head and it dies, and that certainly did the trick.
"An angel, hmm?" Python mused with a curious slit eyed stare towards Jenn. "I can't say that I'm too familiar with your kind compared to the monsters and such of Greece, but as long as you're not trying to kill me, I could care less." Their tongue flicked out idly as Jenn mentioned the War. Ah yes, another thing that the mortal races were good at. Needless fighting for the stupidest of reasons.
"It's hard not to hear about it when it's one of the constant things I overhear from the humans nowadays," They replied. "Three armies going at each other's throats like a pack of dogs on the kill, to which I'm more then happy to stay out of." But... Python had to admit that they were curious as to what Jenn had said about the Rogues, and something about needing a very stupid hero of one of the other armies needing to be eliminated.
"...I admit, you have me intrigued. I might be willing to lend a hand in dealing with this hero for your master, if it means getting at least some of my power back. But before that, just who is your... boss, exactly? I don't mind dealing with mortals, but there are certain beings and their descendants that I'd rather not deal with, for reasons of my own."
