"Dearly Farm." Lucky replied automatically, swinging his head around and perking his black ears to the sound of the lion's voice. Wow, a lion! A real life, gosh darn lion! This was so cool! Back on the farm Lucky had never seen a lion except on TV and maybe at the Gruetly Zoo. This was a wondrous occasion for the pup, and he smiled and wagged his tail rapidly at the lion, not even noticing that he didn't seem to know what he was talking about. "That's right. I'm the hero where I come from." He bragged, standing to his feet again. "I thought perhaps my reputation had preceded me." Then the man spoke, the one he previously had been talking to, and Lucky looked at him again, tail still wagging. "I'm settling in great, sir!" He said optimistically. "This place is so cool!"
Gracious there were so many predators around. The fawn had poked his head out of a tent a few minutes earlier, and proceeded through the camp in the most quiet, deer-like fashion remotely possible. Creeping slowly, ears down, mouth parted, tail tucked between his legs. Just like his mother had taught him, a habit that was hard to break. Especially with all these... dogs. And what looked like oversized mountain lions. Why had he come here? Why did Dad have to go here? This place was dangerous. And Ferto was scared. It was hard to overcome his natural fear of the animals present. Why weren't there more deer? And rabbits? More herbivores? Ears pricked and tail rose as he heard a rather familiar voice barking inside a nearby tent. Boso? He thought curiously, walking cautiously up to the tent's flap. Cousin Boso was here? Well that certainly made more sense than HIM being here. Boso was so much more confident and loud. Not like Ferto at all. Very cautiously, Ferto pushed the flap aside with his nose and peered into the tent. Sure enough, there was Boso. And.. and Man. Ferto gulped, trying to ignore the human. "B-Boso?"

Boso stared at Hikaru in disbelief. "You ran? From Maleficent?!" All cadets, whether they admitted it or not, feared the evil incarnate and her army of darkness. Some claimed that they ate their dead comrades and would transform into powerful monsters if they looked at the full moon for too long. Jasper even said that the only way out of Agrabah was through a coffin. They'd either get cut down on the plains or executed by Maleficent for some slight.
A sudden chill swept through Boso as if a cold wind had cut through. He was not a hundred percent sure he could trust Hikaru yet, but at the same time, he did not think she was lying either. What she said made sense.
"How did you-?"
Ferto's round, fuzzy head pushed through the tent flaps. Boso stifled a groan. Could he not have five minutes?
"What is it, Ferto?" he snapped at his younger cousin.

Ferto flinched visibly at his older cousin's response. Now that he was put on the spot, the timid little fawn wasn't actually sure what to say. Or...what he meant to say, really. For some reason, he'd been hoping for a gentler response, maybe a semi-friendly reaction from someone he actually knew.. but no. This was Boso after all. And Boso didn't really get along with Geno, so... why would he get along with Ferto?
"I, uh..." The fawn was at a loss. "I uh.." Unsure of what to say, he finally just opted for the obvious. "W-why are you talking to Man?" He stuttered finally. Not that he really cared, but Ferto really wasn't sure what else to say. He just wanted to talk to someone familiar and not a scary predator...even if that someone was a semi-enemy in his own home turf.

Shani craned her head up further as she registered Tug's kind, warm voice as the one she bumped into. In a flash, the look of concern over bumping into someone was replaced with one of content and warmth. Out of all the medics, Tug was one of the first she had gotten to know and become friends with. "Oh, Tug, it's you. Good morning," she replied with a smile. Sitting down, she wrapped her tail around her paws, tilting her head, "What are you up to?"

Copper's head tilted, and one ear lifted slightly as he regarded Lucky. Dearly Farm. That's what he'd said. As Copper thought it over, he couldn't ever recall hearing anything of it, but it's entirely possible that it's just because he didn't get out much. He decided to tell the pup as much.
"Sorry, I've never heard of it." He gave a sheepish smile and turned toward Jasper at his question. "I'm doing okay. There are so many smells here it's easy to get turned around, but I'm learning." Truth be told, Copper was going a lot better than he'd expected. Sure the scents could get mixed up here and there, but besides that, he'd been settling in just fine.
As a new voice spoke up, asking Lucky where he was from, Copper couldn't keep the fur along his back from standing on end at the sight of the huge lion. Tail tucked low, and ears pulled back, Copper turned to watch the big cat's approach. Sure, Copper had seen quite a few of them since coming to the Pridelands, but he hadn't quite gotten used to them just yet. Once he was sure Mega meant him no harm, he slowly relaxed, fur laying flat against his spine once more.
"Nice to meet you too." Copper returned the lion's greeting.

Kopa shook his red mane and looked almost exactly like his father. He looked over Pride Rock, then diverted his attention to the dog near him, Copper. He hesitated, then walked up to him and said, "Hello, Copper." He didn't know if the dog would answer, but he hoped he would. He had noticed Meg as well but didn't think much of it.

"Sorry, I've never heard of it." Lucky's chest deflated a bit and he looked at the older dog, eyebrow cocked and a slight frown crossing his face. Okay, so he'd never heard of Dearly Farm, so what. Everyone at home knew who the real hero was. That was what mattered.
"Well, I'M the hero where I come from." That matter settled in his mind, he turned to behold another lion approaching. The pup again smiled and wagged his tail. This was SO cool. So much excitement and adventure! Thunderbolt would be proud. In fact, wasn't this sort of like the episode where Thunderbolt went to the jungle? Yeah. He'd fought lions like this and won. Just wait til I tell everyone back home that I saw real LIONS! He thought smugly, of course failing to realize the story was so wild no one would believe him.

The conversations between his army were quickly getting divided. It was becoming hard to keep track, a little too hard to keep up. Jasper's hand moved to rest on his forehead slightly, rubbing at his brow as he tried to listen to everyone speaking. Voices started to blur together and he felt a small trickle of annoyance thud through his chest. Still, though, he took a deep breath trying to keep himself even.
"Good to know." He mumbled softly towards Cooper though his attention was yanked away as Kopa seemed to emerge from nowhere. A frown tugged at his lips, this wasn't the time nor place to discuss such sensitive matters. Despite the teenager's want for knowledge. "I do, but it's not something to discuss right here at the moment, Kopa. I will set up a meeting between myself and your family members, alongside you to discuss what happened, alright?"

The moment Shani's expression relaxed was the moment when he felt his own shoulders relax as well. He smiled widely at the cub as she sat down. The bear shrugged his shoulders heavily. "Not too much, just been out yander gathering herbs to make into the pastes and stuff. You know the usual, I was gonna wake up you and the other's but I figured I'd let you all sleep in after the craziness of the last few days." He paused, lifting up one of his paws and tapping his claw to his chin. "Tell ya what though, if yer up to it, you can help me make some of these ointments we've got to do!"
