March 18th, Year 1
That’s how many nails kept the hayloft up. Huela would know, she’d counted them about eighteen times now. Four hundred and six nails. Being on death’s doorstep had certainly gotten the blood pumping, but now that she was on her way back, things were... very boring. Her I-SAPS was with her bloody clothes, and she wasn’t about to disturb the medics who had their hands beyond full. At least she’d been lucky, falling in and out of consciousness for four days had made the time go decently fast. But now she felt... useless. Everything on her right side had been shattered on impact, but it was her left side that had suffered most. She was missing a leg now— that’d be hard to explain back home —, and it kept her from doing anything until she replaced it and healed the fractures. But with no access to any way to plan... Huela was useless, counting nails in a hayloft while her body healed.

Kion really disliked this place already. Canada was so different compared to Africa in both climate, feeling, and how little he knew of it. Everything was covered in snow and almost all of the trees looked dead, except for the ones called "conifers" that were all spiky and strange to the african lion. He wanted to go home, but he knew that they couldn't go back. Not now, if not ever... The entire 'hayloft' or whatever this place was felt weird as well. It was made by humans who knew how long ago, and it was pretty abandoned until the army took it over.
The cub just growled as he had to resist gnawing at his wounds on his front legs out of pain. The shallow cuts were self-inflicted on him out of hurt and to just... feel like he had to atone for everything that happened. It made him feel so bleak on the inside of all of it. But he had to keep on going. He was Kiongozi, leader of the Lion Guard! He couldn't back down from this. He'd proved that he wasn't like them, he would prove it to anyone who stood in his way...
The golden teen just walked around again for who knew many times since he was in here. He couldn't help anyone in his state since the cuts needed to heal, and he was already a bit weak from a lack of food on his part of refusing most of it. He then stared at Huela. He wasn't too familiar with her, but she had gotten pretty badly injured from the fight that happened just some days before, and had now a missing leg and who knew besides the medics the number of internal injuries. Should he approach her or...
To hell with it. He was pretty bored, if not as bored as Huela had to be at this point, and he was finally summoning the guts to approach.
"Uh... hello?" He asked towards Huela, stepping lightly as he approached. "Do you... need any help?"

“Mmh?”
For a split second, panic flickers across the little creature’s face. Her mind is ripped back to Africa. To teeth, to blood, to falling, falling, falling—
There’s a soft, choked noise as the creature forces herself back to the present, orange eyes blinking discordantly as she tries to focus. This lion... she didn’t recognize him all that well. He certainly wasn’t the one that had attacked her.
“Gh- Sorry about that. The medics have me on stuff for the pain, but I’m too little for a measured dose? So they kinda just did their best guess. Can’t feel any pain, but it sure does make things... vivid. Wait, you asked if I needed help. I mean, probably? Yeah? I’ve got my tablet in my pocket of my clothes, but it’s like. Super little! I’m a little worried you might swallow it on accident or something. And I have no idea what happens if you take a standard issue nanofuser internally...”
By the time the little creature is done babbling, she seems to have zoned out for a moment, apparently lost in the murkiness of her own thoughts. It takes a tic, but she once again snaps back to focus, glancing upwards at Kion.
“Right! Sorry! Pain meds. They didn’t give me enough for it to be entertaining— at least for me —, but those medics have got me absolutely fucked up.”

"Hevi kabisa." Kion muttered to himself as Huela talked to him. She had to be pretty drugged up on whatever the medics had to be able to talk so fluidly, all be it a bit loosely and more resembled a somewhat coherent babble. Sort of. The golden teen just sighed, and plopped himself down on the hay just a few feet away from Huela, but close enough that she could see him. He didn't want to cause her to accidentally hurt herself in some way.
"I don't think I'd be able to get this tablet of yours," He replied. "I don't have hands like you do, and I wouldn't want to accidentally swallow it like you mentioned." And then Huela seemed to doze off for a moment or two. By the great kings, she definitely had a lot of whatever the medics gave her in her system to make her like this. He couldn't blame the medics for keeping her like this though. The lost leg paired with what ever internal injuries, he would've rather been kept under like this too instead of dealing with the pain.
"...How much did they give you?" Kion asked. It was a stupid question, but the former prince was curious.

"Hup!" Rapunzel grunted as she hiked herself up onto the hayloft. She kept her satchel close as the medic picked her way over to the itty bitty geck and young lion. Time to check up on her patient.
"About a tenth of what we might give a lion?" Rapunzel said as she knelt next to Kion and Huela, she tried to tuck her bangs behind her ear but they simply fell forward again, "At first we gave her medicinal herbs that Shani and I were familiar with. We can kinda gauge the effect of those a little better. But they weren't strong enough."
"So we switched to some of the more advanced medicine that Silver had and well... they are a LOT stronger than we intended. But I'm glad at least they didn't make her sick...." Rapunzel gave a small awkward chuckle that covered up just how serious the problem was. An overdose could easily be fatal. So they had had to walk the tight-rope of death with Huela. Her injuries and the shock from the pain on one side. Death by overdose on the other.
It was a miracle that the small alien had made it this far. But she was still far from out of the woods just yet...
"Huela do you think you can eat on your own? Or do you need help with the broth?" depending on how loopy she was, she might not be able to co-ordinate spoon too mouth.

Tarzan hadn't been able to really get ready for the trip so imagine his suprise when it was freezing outside.a loincloth was NOT going to work here.
Tarzan asked around the ship for warmer clothes and was frankly suprised by how many people threw clothes at him. After putting on some actual clothes (black shirt that was insulated but was so tight on him he might as well not be wearing anything at all and a pair of old faded blue jeans and what looks like a Brown leather duster that has seen better days to be sure.) he stepped out and joined the others.
Or at least he tried to but no one was around.so he tried to look around. Before long he was able to find Rapunzel, though she seemed to be headed somewhere. With little else to really do, Tarzan chose to follow behind to see what's going on.
Before he could make himself known to the others, Rapunzel began talking about Medications which is not odd since she is a medic.
Tarzan climbed into the hayloft from the ladder. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything."
