A Loss Too Deep

[Grey Brother]

"No, there's nothing you could do to me, but I would love someone to talk to..."

Grey Brother’s yellow orbs flick to look at the little cat, his muzzle pulls into a scowl and was about to tell him off before Michi speaks up, doing it for him thankfully.

Eyes returned to Pongo as she spoke up again

"Like I said, I would love to talk to someone, to relieve some of this stress,"

“I would be happy to chat with you, anything to make you feel better” he gives a sympathetic smile to the spotty canine then turns to Tiny Dan.

“I don’t think you’ll find your girl friend here, I haven’t seen any little cats around aside from Michi here” He motions with a paw towards the rock which the cadet sat upon vaguely. “As for what I want you do to? Nothing, aside from not starting fights with your stupidity” he snorted out

" A cat? My girlfriend is not a cat, my sister is not my girlfriend. I know it's seems weird but not to me." Tiny said.

" Now we have all got problems, now are we going to feel sorry for ourselves or are we going to help each other and let that loss motivate us. " Tiny said.

Grey Brother gives the tiny cat a look the clearly said you are out of your fucking mind 

“Oh, Noooooo that’s not weird at all!Completely normal for a cat to be screwing who knows what!” Grey Brother says sarcastically, like straight up sarcastic, as in only a complete and utter idiot wouldn’t be able to tell. “I’m damn sure his parents were siblings” Grey Brother puts his front paws up on the rock to whisper this to Michi giving her a look that would read ‘please get this thing outta here and let my new friend grieve in peace’ he glances back at Tiny Dan as the cat then starts possibly talking to himself!

Oh my god.... thought Grey Brother

"Now we have all got problems, now are we going to feel sorry for ourselves or are we going to help each other and let that loss motivate us.”

“Michi!” Grey hisses, “it’s either stupid or not right mentality.”

Michi stared at the other feline as words continued to spew out of his mouth, aparently not all that keen on actually responding to what was being said to him.

Her ears flicked in Grey Brother's direction as the wolf spoke to her, and she let out a half hearted chuckle, hopping down from her perch.
"Welp, I can see when a conversation has become horribly derailed, and I must now wash my paws of this weirdness."

She strode past Grey and Pongo, tapping them both with the tip of her tail,
"What you two say we head back to the old barn and warm up, leave him to his ramblings."

The wolf grins, quickly following in step behind the cat, he brushes up along side Pongo in a comforting fashion, giving him another smile. “I’m your grieving had to be disturbed like this” he side eyes Tiny Dan, glaring “we can talk in the barn if you like?” He continues to move down the shovled path not even looking back at the crazy cat now

" Hey hey where are you going huh? " Tiny said.

" Some team mates you are. " Tiny said.

" Huh what do you want me to do huh? " Tiny said.

[Pongo]

Pongo smiled at Grey Brother, happy to leave this deranged cat to his ramblings. "Thank you," he whispered sadly and followed Grey Brother away from Tiny Dan.

He walked down the shoveled path and went beside Grey Brother. He was in silence. Griefing needed silence just as well as noise. He glanced at Michi, thankful she intervened and smiled at her.

"Hey hey where are you going huh? " 

"isn't it obvious?" Grey Brother snorted back  


"Some team mates you are."

pointed ears flick back against his skull and the wolf suppresses a growl at the barn cat as he reaches the entrance of the old barn, it's warm light from within so inviting.  


"Huh, what do you want me to do huh?"

Going away would be a start Grey brother thought to himself as he was drawn back to Pongo's presents with his whisper of "Thank you"
