A Loss Too Deep

[Pongo]

March 17th

Pongo graced his way through the snow, his eyes darting from left to right, his breathing coarse and shallow. He was tired and wary, and sad. He knew it had been months since his son's death, but his heart still broke at the thought that Lucky was dead. Sure, he had other children. Even had a mate, but it still hurt him greatly. He hadn't been told who had done it, but he had a feeling he already knew who it was. 

Pongo again became aware of his surroundings. He veered his way towards the other soldiers. He had been on a walk and decided to come back an hour or so later. He couldn't really tell. He sighed and sat down a good way from anyone else. He needed to think. His paws dug deeper into the snow and his tail shook off the snow that he had collected while walking. 

He hoped he could cheer himself up, but sadness billowed up. The rest of his family was in London, he assumed. So he couldn't see them and wanted to see them badly. It hurt his insides. He lay down with his head in his paws, his ears flopping downward. He looked like a sad puppy. A large sad puppy. He barely looked around him and sighed once more.

[Daniel (Tiny)]

A cat was walking on the snowy streets. He was trying to search for any Dawnseekers. He was even try to find his girlfriend, at first he thought she had died, but then he thought she maybe with another clan. Whatever it was he couldn't be without her.

He saw a dog in the snow who looked like her. He approached this dog and said " there you are. Although you seem big than usual."

[Grey Brother]

“Grrr! WOOF!” Grey Brother pounced behind the cat giving a playful growl and bark attempting to scare Tiny Dan like his domestic brethren would. “Ah ha ha ha!” He woofed out a laugh before looking ahead at the dog that cat was talking to.

“Hello there, don’t think I met you yet? I’m Grey Brother, why so glum?” He cocks his head as he walks down the snowy path.

[Pongo]

Pongo looked up to see a cat in front of him. Then suddenly that cat was pounced on by a wolf, and he blinked. The wolf greeted himself as Grey Brother. He perked his ears. "I'm Pongo," he replied simply.

He frowned as Grey Brother asked why he was so glum and replied with, "Oh, it's just," he sighed sadly. "It's because my son Lucky died," he said with a depressed look.

It had made him depressed beyond belief, but it didn't mean he had to be snappy and irritable.

[Daniel (Tiny)]

Daniel yanked on the wolf's tail as if he was disrespected.

He then acknowledged Pongo.

" Hey Pongo I'm Daniel sorry about your loss." Daniel said.

He then went to the wolf and said " Hey do you think I'm scared of you. Who do you think you are? Do you think I'm going to run just because you're a dog? My name is Daniel or Tiny which is my nickname. I am not afraid of you, or anyone else. So don't growl at me again and don't fight me either, I'll kick your ass. Do I make myself clear?"

[Michi]

"Look out guys, we gotta badass over here."
Michi looked down on the small group from atop a boulder, her tail slowly flicking back and forth as she stared down at the other feline, then at Grey Brother and Pongo, whom she gave a friendly nod to, before turning back to the cat.

"Look buddy, I know a lot of animals back in New York who talk like they're big stuff, but I hate to break it to ya, no matter how tough you think you are, that's a wolf you're talking to. He could snap your spine in a moment's notice if he wanted, I don't think you're in any place to be threatening anyone. You won't be kicking anyone's ass, especially not an allies."

[Grey Brother]

"I'm Pongo,"

Grey nods in greeting glancing back as the cat as his tail was suddenly yanked he gives him a soft glare before returning to the Dalmatian as he starts to speak again.

"Oh, it's just," he sighed sadly. "It's because my son Lucky died,"

Grey’s yellow eyes widen in shock.

“Oh...oh-I’m so sorry” he murmured softly, head lowers to the dog’s level to speak with him more privately. “I-if there is anything I can do to help um, maybe someone to talk to? Just let me know” he gives a soft yet sad smile before he turns as that little cat speaks to him

" Hey do you think I'm scared of you. Who do you think you are? Do you think I'm going to run just because you're a dog?

My name is Daniel or Tiny which is my nickname. I am not afraid of you, or anyone else. So don't growl at me again and don't fight me either, I'll kick your ass. Do I make myself clear?"

The wolf just stares at the small cat wondering if he was joking.

“Um-heh-ha first off I’m a wolf, an seeonee wolf member to state and secondly Tiny Dan-“ at this point he throws the cat’s name in his face, playfully of course as Grey Brother was known to be a kidder from time to time. “I don’t see how on earth you can kick my ass. Remember who your allies are, as I am one of them” his tone turned seriously suddenly at his last words, glaring softly at the small feline. “Don’t start picking fights” he warns gently

[Pongo]

Pongo seemed to smile at the concern in the wolf's voice and eyes. It was a very sad smile, but a smile nonetheless. "No, there's nothing you could do to me, but I would love someone to talk to..." he trailed off, wondering how to continue when the cat, Tiny... Dan? Yeah, Tiny Dan spoke up and the cat's words made him angry.

He kept quiet however as another cat appeared, apparently Michi, and Grey Brother completely bombarding Tiny with retorts. He looked at Grey Brother. "Like I said, I would love to talk to someone, to relieve some of this stress," Pongo replied.

[Daniel (Tiny)]

" I'm not going to fight you Grey, but don't growl at me and expect me to just take it. What do you want me to do?"
Tiny said.

"And besides I'm missing my girlfriend, and maybe that's why I'm a bit on edge." Tiny said to everyone.

[Michi]

"There's 'on edge', and then there's just being stupid, regardless of motive, threatening someone much bigger and stronger than you is not a smart idea."
Michi flicked her tail in annoyance.

"It's kinda obvious Grey was just fooling around, it'd be the same if I were to pounce on you. What, would you try to claw off anyone's ears who gets too close to you? There's a lot of people here who miss someone, some of them are never going to see those they miss ever again either, but they aren't using it as an excuse to pick fights. You don't see Pongo here getting up in everyone's grill, do you?"
