If ever there was a more serious and cold speaker than the Horned King, perhaps their stories had been wiped away by the lich itself. The Scourge of Prydain lack uplifting, happy emotions in his shell, and only carries rage, anger, and sadistic pleasure. It's greatest desire is to become a god himself, which in his single-focused mind, only comes with the power of the Black Cauldron. To that end, anyone who sides with him is a pawn to the end of retrieving the Cauldron. There may be some to which the Horned King shows higher respect, and maybe even trust, but this comes to few and far between.
The Horned King's only weakness is the weakness of the Lich body upon which he relies. His powers drain from the living corpse which he calls home, and while he can call forth unlimited magic, it causes the magic holding him together to weaken. Should the Horned King exert himself beyond the limits of his magic, then the enchantment on his will break and he will need time to reform himself. In light of this, the Horned King tends to rely on underlings and others who place their trust in him.

Backstory:
“Legend has it, in the mystic land of Prydain, there was once a king so cruel and so evil, that even the gods feared him. Since no prison could hold him, he was thrown alive into a crucible of molten iron. There, his demonic spirit was captured in the form of a great Black Cauldron. For uncounted centuries, the Black Cauldron lay hidden, waiting, while evil men searched for it, knowing whoever possessed it would have the power to resurrect an army of deathless warriors, and with them, rule the world.”
One man did find the Black Cauldron. That man was the Horned King, Scourge of Prydain, and former servant to the spirit dwelling in the Cauldron. Seeking the ultimate power hidden within that would allow the spirits of the Undead to rise and become Cauldron-Born, the Horned King would lay his hands upon the Cauldron with the forced aid of an oracle pig and her keeper. However, this pig keeper would be the end of the Horned King's reign, as his courage and friends would bring an end to the mortal form of the Horned King, who would be sucked into the Black Cauldron itself and forced to spend centuries with his former master.
Yet, something had happened in the world. A powerful, dark, evil magic had reappeared in the world, giving the Horned King enough energy to form flesh once more. Intrigued by the surge, the Horned King found he was formed far, far away from the Cauldron he was sealed in. Using magic to realize that hundreds of years had passed him, the Horned King knew perhaps an ally of power was needed. And so, the Horned King began his travels across the world, until arriving in the land known as Germany. Upon dueling soldiers and finding their strongest magi lie in Agrabah, the Horned King traveled across the deserts to the land of Sultanas and Ghazi, to speak and make an alliance with their strongest magi.
