March 26th, Morning (Note: No one knows him very well yet, but people know he's Aladdin's. He hasn't gotten out of the lamp in a few weeks after he saw Aladdin, so people might forget him and would be surprised to find him here or even be awake. By the way, he overslept a couple of days.)
Quiet slumber. Peaceful slumber. In a cozy small space. No worries in his head. No doubts. His lamp was tucked away in some hay, in a location unknown to him. He could tell it was cold, but he didn't know where he was. He yawned and stretched, then realized he couldn't stretch in this space. He saw an opening, it was light. Oh no, was it time to get up? He hoped not, but he made his way smoothly to the small opening and out he came. The Genie. Or just Genie really. No need for formalities. He felt himself grow, as he had shrunk to get out of his lamp. He was floating a foot off the ground. That didn't matter, did it? It did, though. Because as he opened his eyes again, he saw an assortment of animals, humans, and other creatures. Genie was quite fascinated with everyone around him. He yawned loudly, partially so that he could make himself known, but mostly because he was tired. He looked around at the gathering for some sign of Aladdin. He must have returned by now, right? Then he could catch up with his best friend. He could feel in the back of his mind, however, that something wasn't right, but he ignored it.
"Why, hello. Genie here, does anyone know where Aladdin is? Al? My pal? My man? He has too much hair, brown eyes and about this high?" He urged his arms to detach, but no blood came from him. He didn't have any blood anyways. He then willed his arm to rise high, to exaggerate and be humorous. These people looked down in the dumps, wonder what happened. He reattached his arms. Genie spun around to examine his surroundings. He stopped, faking being dizzy. "Woah, why is the world spinning so fast?" he said with a slightly confused look. He realized he was in a barn. "Well, I'm feeling a bit sheepish," he joked to no one in particular. He transformed himself into a sheep. He turned back into his original form. He realized it would be a bit freaky if he didn't have any legs. He formed some legs where legs would usually be and fell to the ground, landing on his feet. Man, humans must have been miserable, not being able to float. he troubled him. But then the same question he had when he first got out of his lamp returned. Where was Aladdin? Or Jasmine?
He glanced behind him to see that his lamp was tucked in a bail of hay. How did that get there? he picked it up and examined it. He started wondering where Carpet was. He knew that Carpet had gone with Aladdin. Carpet wasn't one to stick around. He sat on a bale of hay. My, what a crazy way to wake up wasn't it? He wondered what had happened to these poor saps. He wasn't sure. He hoped he could help them. He just wasn't sure how yet. Something wasn't right, he just couldn't see what it was, nor paid much attention to it. At any rate, though, a prominent question kept ringing through his head.
Where was Aladdin?

Flynn Rider was free! Well, he wasn't kidnapped or anything but he was finally able to walk around and get his bearings again. It was a huge relief, and the opportunity to go out help people again was something he had literally dreamed of for days. Pretty boring dreams, mind you, but the fact his dreams were simply being able to walk and help out around camp should show anyone how desperate Eugene was to help. So he decided to move hay bales and work on clearing up more space.
Things got weird quick.
A lamp seemed to explode with energy as he walked by it, and out came this... blue guy? No shirt, blue pants, weird pony-tail looking thing. Flynn would have reacted poorly if this god-awful war hadn't beaten the surprise factor out of him. Flynnaigan Rider had stories where magical beings named djinn burst from lanterns and granted wishes to those who found them, could this be... Oh yeah! That Aladdin kid had one as a pal, right? Maybe this is his.
The djinn started asking for Aladdin, confirming the rogue's suspicions. "Hey, hey, easy there. You seem definitely bewildered. Maybe I could help you find the kid?"
Flynn waved briskly. "Name's Flynn Rider, world-famous thief and rogue. Pleasure's mine. Now, you're looking for Aladdin, right? He's probably somewhere else around camp. Kid's should've gotten too far."

Genie wasn't at all surprised as a man walked by him. The man stopped, then turned to him, and began trying to calm him down. Genie was confused for a moment, before smiling. "Oh, I was just joking of course," Genie replied, a wide smile on his face. He then nodded at the man told him that he could help look for Aladdin.
"Yes, I very much would. My semi phenomenal cosmic powers are a bit out of practice. What century is this? All I could remember until I went to sleep is Aladdin telling me he was leaving to go somewhere but didn't tell me where," he frowned as he kept talking. "Oh, I suppose it is still the same century since my neck hasn't cramped up," he joked.
"Flynn Rider?" Genie began as the man had told him his name. "Pleasant name, isn't it? My name is GENIE OF THE LAMP," He seemed to amplify the sound of his words as he said 'Genie of the Lamp'. Then his voice returned to normal as he continued. "Or just Genie for short." he finished with a laugh.
Genie then began to nod. "Anywhere, in particular, we should begin to look?" he asked, then made a detective outfit for him out of thin air with the snap of his fingers. He held the magnifying glass he had concocted from thin air and began searching.
"This is a job for Detective Genie!" he began. This was a game to him in a sense. He did want to find Aladdin, but couldn't there be humor as well?

“Flynn me lad whose yer new blue friend here?” Silver greets the younger man with his signature grin. The cyborg shakes the snow from his thick black colored jacket before getting a good looking at the new solider. “You two seem to be on the hunt for something or someone, anything this ol cyborg can do to help?”

As much as what has been going on for the Dawnseekers, Tarzan was for a lack of a better word, overwhelmed. He chose to keep mostly out of people's way and stay by himself. Worrying about Jane took up a great deal of his time. She didn't know about the move, did she get to Africa, and if she did if she got caught by the legion? All these things swam in his mind like the proverbial pond filled with fish stained with black ink. Then, a distraction came in the form of Aladdin's friend... As silver passed by asking about what they were looking for, Tarzan jumped down from a nearby tree "I believe they were looking for Aladdin. I have no clue where he went though."

“You might want to try looking out in the wilderness surrounding the area.”
Coal black hooves followed the owner’s voice as a unicorn stepped into view of the others, seemingly from out of nowhere. He hadn’t been with the army long, but when it came to looking for those who had become lost, that was a particular talent that he was especially proud of. Now, he had absolutely no clue as to who or what this “Aladdin” looked like, but any chance to prove himself as a scout for the Dawnseekers was one he eagerly jumped at.
“Name’s Nikolai.” he said, with a gentle grin.
“But you can call me Niko for short. I don’t believe I’ve had the chance to really meet any of you, but I do know what dangers lie out past this camp, and I’m willing to help find your friend.” Nikolai said, turning to look at Genie.
“My suggestion would be to start in the forest and start making our way towards the mountain, unless anybody else has another suggestion?” Nikolai asked, turning to look at the others.

"Alright, alright, everyone, let's simmer down a bit. not that we're simmering at all, but let's chat together for a bit."
Flynn stepped forward a bit. While as of right now the ex-Freedom Fighters had no set leader, Flynn felt like someone needed to step up and organize these people. Everyone had good ideas and good intentions, but the rogue knew how fast a crowd devolves into madness. A twinge of pain struck him as he remembered too well and too recent how quickly a crowd can turn on each other...
"So, for everyone who's curious, this is Genie. He's Aladdin's... Um... companion? Friend? Partner? Servant, djinn? Anyways, he and Aladdin are buds. But I haven't seen Aladdin all day." A hand scratched his bearded chin. "Actually thinking about it, I haven't seen Aladdin since Africa. Has anyone seen him?"
A glance over the crowd landed on Silver. An idea. "Silver, isn't Aladdin your cadet? Where has he been?"

“Aye the lad was in my charge but I haven’t seen him since Africa, before the whole bloody riot took place” he gives a shrug and glances over at Genie, giving him a skeptical look wondering if he would be as much of a pain Aladdin had been. “The lad could of stayed in Africa for whatever daft reason” the ursid scans the crowd before turning to Flynn again. “My first mate has a list of all the soldiers that were on the ship, I’m sure Mr. Onyx has the same on Jimbo’s ship. Need me to fetch them?”

Post by Marahute on Oct 29, 2018 23:26:23 GMT
Marahute was bored. There were currently very few things she could do that would be of use to her friends that didn't end with her enormous bulk being more of a hindrance than anything. Hunting, helping to haul logs back to the camp and generally keeping tabs on the little ones were her primary jobs around the camp however she wasn't sure if fresh meat was required, Nevada had shooed her off when she landed beside him and Zamora that morning and the little ones were all busy doing their own things and didn't require her watchful eye.
She landed upon the roof of the barn and was about to start preening her feathers when the Genie's amplified declaration of his name startled her. The sudden loudness drew a shriek from the majestic eagle, all of her feathers practically poofing out in surprise which led to her comically losing her grip on the barn's roof and toppling comically onto the ground with a loud 'WHUMPH'.
For a long moment, Marahute remained where she had fallen, scarlet eyes blinking before she struggled to right herself and shake the dust from her snow-white belly feathers. Her curiosity now piqued she pried the door to the barn open with her sharp beak before entering, her sharp talons click-clacking against the wood.
She froze as her gaze settled upon Genie surrounded by Flynn, Silver, Nikolai and Tarzan. Scarlet eyes blinked as she registered that the topic of conversation was Aladdin's location but she remained quiet as she herself hadn't seen the boy either. Instead, she made her way over to Genie and her fellow former Freedom Fighters and stopped before the odd blue being, staring at him with unblinking eyes before she seemed to decide that Genie's odd colour was due to lack of warmth and promptly arranged herself to nest on top of him.

Genie's huge smile faltered for just a few moments. No one knew where Aladdin was? He thought hard. What was it that Aladdin said when he last saw him? He seemed to be in a rush to get somewhere. But where? Genie stroked his goatee in thought. He placed his hand under his chin, showing he was thinking. A chair appeared out of nowhere as he sat down. He didn't look shocked or surprised.
He didn't even notice it. His detective outfit disappeared. He smiled widely once again as new people introduced themselves. "Genie of the Lamp here, straight from the lamp, thank you, thank you," he didn't even flinch when a giant... bird came down. He just seemed to nod. "So, no one knows where Al is?" he asked.
He went to think. "Well, I feel sheepish again," he said, turning into a sheep then back to his glorious genie self.
