Personality: The first thing that most people notice about Niko is that he is extremely observant. Even when you think he hasn't noticed something miniscule, he probably has; he just won't tell you. Nikolai believes that there are no irrelevant actions, that every shift in sentiment, every move and every idea is part of something bigger. To satisfy his constant curiosity, Nikolai tries to never miss a moment of the here and now. He is also friendly, which is odd for most nomads, being that there's rarely ever a chance for social interaction. But not for Nikolai. He enjoys the thrill of conversation, of getting to know someone through the stories that they tell. He does tend to overthink things at times, overanalyzing situations and playing them over and over again in his head because he can't shake the feeling that something went wrong. He is also independent to a fault, and often feels that his way is the best way for himself.

Backstory: Nikolai's ancestors came from the unicorn blessing originating from Olympus, where Zeus had given the unicorns a home to live. Olympus had grown too small for this group, so they set out for new lands to settle in. Nikolai is a direct descendant of those that settled in the vast wilds of Canada. At some point in his young life, Nikolai became separated from his nomadic blessing, and he came to the heartbreaking realization that they had moved on without him. It was common for his blessing to push out young males so that they could see the world and make blessings of their own, but he was far too young!

And so, Nikolai learned to live on his own, surviving off the land as best he could. As time went on, he actually came to enjoy the solitude, and the experiences and various other creatures he's met along the way. Every new encounter was  thrill to him, and he began to discover his place in the grand scheme of things. It wasn't until he'd heard news of an army of sorts that had settled in Canada that he decided that he would leave the life of a nomad, and join them to see what this "war" was all about. It proved to be worth it when he approached the Council asking to join, as he offered up his services to be a scout, due to knowing the area from wandering for so long.

And finally, for once, maybe he could find some semblance of a "family" between these Dawnseekers.
