APRIL 14th
Kenyan hadn't been here for very long really, he still didn't entirely know his way around, nor did he know who most of the other Dawnseekers were. In his defense though, he probably wouldn't remember them even if he did know who they were, he'd never been especially good at remembering faces or names. He had an almost photographic memory of plants and what they did, which was what made him such a good healer, but he tended to fall short in most other aspects. Simply put, Kenyan was not a terribly clever lion.
But that didn't stop him from trying his best, which is why he was out and about...Or he was supposed to be doing something, but he couldn't actually remember what it was he was doing. He'd seen an especially pretty blue jay, which had distracted him from his plant collecting, and now he was dashing through the snow with wild abandon, crashing into piles so it scattered and flung everywhere.
Some might tell him that he didn't belong here, too soft, too dim to really be any use to anyone. Kenyan thought better though, he knew where he fell short, but he also knew that there were a lot of people hurting here. The empath lion could feel the pain in waves, and he supposed that was what pulled him this way, he wanted to help make things better, he wanted to heal the hurt both mentally and physically.
But first, he had butterflies to catch, and he lowered himself into a small hunting crouch as he stalked after them dutifully, all but forgetting why he'd been foraging out here in the first place. He didn't mean to be so scatterbrained, but sometimes it just took a little extra help to keep him where he needed to be.
