(March 19th, open to any Blackblood who wants some weapons practice and general combat training. There may be injuries if people are particularly careless but there will be not violence between soldiers.)
Nighttime crept up upon the Arabian desert, and Callista saw her opportunity to do something productive. She wasn't sure where the rest of the army was at as far as firearm and melee weapon capability, but she knew anyone new to the army after the Freedom Fighters breakdown was going to have to prepare themselves for battle should one of the other armies attack. The vampire had lived for over a century and was confident in her ability to handle weapons, having to survive on her own as a lone woman through the 1900's. She hadn't necessarily taught anyone before, but she knew this army had to be ready to handle anything fate would throw at them, so she was willing to try.
It was a bit past twilight, and even though the faintest remains of sunlight gave her a headache, she knew the rest of these humans and assorted mortals were more used to working in the daylight. She had lit several torches around the open garden just outside the palace to give enough light for the humans to see by once the sun went down, since they would need their eyesight to aid them; she was adept to seeing in the darkness but she wasn't about to give herself an unfair advantage to the other soldiers. This was the only time she was able to actually do anything since she slept through the afternoon.
She had a case full of basic firearms, mostly airsoft rifles, and a few wooden swords that obviously wouldn't slice someone alive, but would be solid enough to give someone a bruise if they weren't paying attention. The stakes were high in this war but she certainly didn't want any soldiers getting hurt just in a training session; keep it realistic enough to get the point across. She had also fashioned some very crude targets and practice dummies out of bags of rice and wooden planks. It wasn't anything spectacular, but she figured it would work for now. She had sent word around the palace for any soldiers to meet her here just before the sun set, and was still waiting for anyone to show up. Idly she clicked her long nails against one of her fangs, just leaning against one of the bags of rice and wondering how exactly she was going to do this.
Finally she heard someone approach. "Ah, saludos, compañero," she greeted the approaching soldier with a bit of Spanish, flashing them a genuine, fanged grin. "Glad you could make it. Are there more coming?"
