Personality: Shani is very soft spoke, the type to sit back and listen in a conversation rather than gabber on. She's quite good at listening, as it makes up for her being partially blind. Her world is one of blurry shapes and colours, but nothing in detail. She doesn't let this hold her down though, and is willing to do her best to keep up with the rest.
Backstory: Shani was born to one of the lionesses in Simba's pride, not far off from the birth the king and queen's own cubs. Her mother had a feeling there was something different about Shani, but didn't realize her sight issue until her cub was old enough to talk, and started talking about "coloured blurs" when describing things. Her mother decided to do her best to help her daughter when necessary, but she wasn't going to stop her from having as normal a cub-hood as possible.
Shani grew up playing with the other cubs of the pride, keeping up with the best of them, and all in all she was relatively happy.
Then things changed once the war broke out. The arrival of many strangers to their land, the looming threat of attack, and the sudden death of their king caused the cubs of the pride lands to grow up fast.
Shani wanted to help, but she knew that as much as she tried to have a normal life, being a Peacekeeper would be too dangerous for her. So she decided to see if there was some other way she could help.
As it turned out, the medics were looking for cadets too.
