Backstory:
Similar to some of the Blackbloods, Iseult was born in the Pridelands a few weeks prior to Scar's reign. However, the circumstances surrounding her birth wasn't exactly...The best. For starters, her pelt was a brilliant silver-white hue, the result of a resurgence of recessive genes. Some lionesses compared it to the moon; her mother compared her child's pelt to death. For a lack of a better term, Iseult was a ghost. Then someone pointed out that the cub was missing a leg, with the cause being a genetic mutation. Her mother was beyond horrified and didn't want anything to do with her child-subsequently disowning and abandoning Iseult. Had it not been for Iseult's aunt, the cub would have died very young.
Under Scar’s reign, the once thriving Pridelands had been reduced to a wasteland, a shell of its former self. Survival became a daily struggle: cub mortality rates were at an all time high, but there was nothing anyone could do. In Iseult's case, she just stuck around her adoptive mother and played with the other cubs: anything to forget about their scenario. Anything to prevent thinking about it.
Eventually, life became routine. Iseult at that stage had long since accepted their fate, barely batting an eye when things increasingly got worse. Especially in regards to food. So what if there was even less food than before? Everyone was already starving- few slivers of meat wasn't going to change anything. Of course, everything had its consequences. Eating less and less than what was required for their age caused Iseult to suffer from malnutrition, subsequently causing their growth to be permanently stunted.
However nothing remains the same.
Once again, life for the inhabitants of the Pridelands was completely turned on its head when Simba returned, seemingly back from the dead.
And well, the rest is history: Simba and his supporters managed to chase out Scar and his supporters, who fled to Agrabah. However, Iseult was not amongst them. Instead they travelled, living as a rogue for a while- trying to avoid the war as much as they could in the process.
In fact, it was only recently that Iseult felt the pull to join the war after hearing about the death of Simba. Deep down, there was a small part of them that was pleased to hear the news. It felt gratifying to know the bastard had suffered. And yet, it wasn't enough. That satisfied feeling quickly turned to desire- one that demanded for his supporters to suffer the same way their formerleader had. Was it indoctrination talking? Yes. Was it a desire to return to the way things had been before the War? Also yes.
It was time for an overdue reunion.
