Ben is a sweet and very loyal dog. He isn’t quick to judge and typically likes to let others speak for themselves before jumping to conclusions. His loyalty to humans is almost a fault, but having grown up as a pet Ben holds the belief that no human is cruel they just make bad decisions now and then. He is fiercely protective of those closest to him and will do anything to protect them. Ben can be stubborn at times, especially if he feels that his standpoint in the matter is correct or right. He will even argue continuously until proven wrong or if the other person finally relents and agrees with him. Even so, Ben is still relatively open minded but can be biased based on his own personal experience. He isn’t quick to anger, but once his fuse has been lit, it's extremely short. He doesn't typically like to hold grudges, but those he does are long-winded, and it isn't easy to get off his bad side once you found your way onto it. Since the death of his master, he harbors a deep seeded hatred for the Freedom Fighters(and their allies to Rouges) and has made a personal vow to avenge his death in any way possible.

Backstory:
Born and raised in Dinsford, a small hamlet just outside of London, Ben led a happy and carefree life with his master Charles. Nothing in his life was exceptionally extraordinary, nor was there anything of particular excitement. And besides that one time he helped save a family of 101 dalmatians from an evil old woman and helped to get them back to their homes in London, nothing really eventful happened either. No, Benjamin's life was a simple one... Until the war happened anyway. When word first spread upon the Twilight Bark that a war was brewing, Ben had paid the rumors little mind, after all that's what he'd thought they'd been, rumors. But as time went on, he quickly came to realize just how wrong he really was. Eventually, news came that a war had broken out in the middle-east and that the governing armies were looking for any able-bodied persons willing to join. Charles had immediately shown great interest and after a visit to his brother's Ben learned that his master was going to join. At first, Ben was to stay with Charles' brother where he would be safe, but after it was learned that they were including animals in the war efforts, Charles reluctantly let Ben come along.

For the first few weeks, nothing significant happened. Ben and Charles went through a short series of training, though Charles had already had some minor military experience. There were a few skirmishes here and there, and both Ben and Charles proved themselves to be capable fights for their army. Not long after however, during another battle that was quite a bit larger than the ones they'd previously fought, Charles was severely injured and not long after died from his injuries. Ben was heartbroken, and after the battle was over, he was allowed to mourn the loss of his master, who he is still in the process of grieving. Now, Ben's heart has hardened, and he has made a vow to avenge Charles' death at any and all costs, no matter what it takes.
