May 12th | Court of Miracles
Emily stretched, warming herself up for the mandatory training session that the soldiers all hand to participate in, leather jacket discarded in a crumpled heap at her feet lest she overheat. Ever since the Blackblood Legion had shown up at their literal doorstep, there was a certain sense of urgency to ensure that they were ready should they ever be backed into another corner like that again. In her mind, they had won and chased off the intruders so the sense that it might happen again seemed remote to her. No doubt the word would get out that they were strong and not to be trifled with lightly. Then again, she could probably do with keeping her own skills as sharp as they possibly could be. One day she would have to actually fight and better that she was as physically prepared as she could hope to be.
"Hey, Wings." she walked over to tap the purple-haired angel on the shoulder to get her attention. Names were still somewhat unfamiliar and she had genuinely forgotten what her name was. A nickname would have to do until she could pretend she had known her real name all along "We getting this thing going soon?"
In Emily's not too humble opinion, she was more than capable of taking on any one of the soldiers she had seen in the Rogue army. She had been literally made to be a warrior and her years of survival on her own had made sure she could fight and do it well when her back was against the wall. She had every confidence that she would only really need a token show of her competency and likely she'd be able to leave again.
"Give me the toughest guy you've got." she added "I can take them."
