Owl is a little bit out there. This might have something to do with her self-proclaimed artist father who gave her plenty of freedom to “express herself”. She’s open minded, experimental and willing to see the good in everyone: sometimes to the point of naivety. She’s agreeable enough, though she does have an almost disillusioned view of any of her work—be it artistic or healing: often insisting her critics simply don’t “get it”. Owl also tends to be too reliant on her father for money and emotional support. Though she tries to hide it, she’s leery of humans. Owl likes to collect things such as herbs, bones and even gems if she's lucky enough to find them. She has naturally fallen into the role of a healer due to her experimentation with various substances, including those with mind-altering properties (it's exactly what you think it is). While reasonably well versed in traditional healing, she has her own, less conventional methods of helping her fellow ghouls; recently, offering readings of the stars and crystal healing.
Backstory:
For whatever reason, Owl was supposedly abandoned as a cub. She would soon find help in the form of a pompous old resident of Halloween Town called Kattz. Though at first Kattz only took her in an attempt to keep her safe just until her parents were located, it wasn’t long before she and the lonely werecat were inseparable and Kattz officially adopted her. Owl was raised under an extremely protective eye and didn’t usually get much time to her self until late teenage-hood when she finally convinced her father she was old enough to take care of herself. Reluctantly, Kattz backed off from her personal life.
While she lived in Halloween Town, she became known as a healer, helping monsters who fell ill or were hurt while attempting to give good-natured scares to the more violent humans. She was allowed to be taught by the resident witches and is somewhat versed in alchemy. Owl would often walk around the town while the streets were clear, looking for ingredients for her concoctions. She had a respect for Jack Skellington, but always was quick to support her father as a great master of scares – most of the town agreed to disagree with her on that. When she reached adulthood, she never moved from her father’s home as he promised she would always be welcome there. However, Owl took to travelling in attempts to “find herself”.
Her travels were cut short when she and her father moved in with the Blackbloods. Owl understood the move was for their protection, but, ever optimistic, she feels it wasn’t necessary. She won’t say so, but she’d so much rather be left to her art rather than be involved.
