May 4th
Tabs had decided he would venture out into the world. Mingle and all that. There was a confidence in his step that seemed genuine -- his hooves didn’t even catch on the floor like they usually did. Something about him was different, like those smiles weren’t just a mask anymore.
Why did he hate his appearance so much again? It seemed to be have been completely wiped from his mind. Why the anxiety? Tabs remembered that he used to feel like a hideous thing unworthy of love, but why? Just when Tabs was beginning to be wholly comfortable showing himself...
Ahyth Tahbs Rrah !
I am Lord Tabs.
Oh god. I said that, didn’t I?
The creature froze in his tracks. Screens turned to black before static enveloped them. Tabs’s form wavered and he went to clutch his heads in some form of pain or distress.
“No no. Not in public.”
Have you forgotten?
Have I forgotten what?
You have forgotten. You have grown belligerent. You forgot your place. You must remember.
Whatever had overtaken him seemed to tighten its grip. He grew rigid as the static intensified and grew louder. The claws raked across his side panels, though it did nothing to deter the thing that held him. Voice was vaguely audible beneath in din of static, whimpering in a weak attempt at resistance. In no time at all, the abomination was reduced to his knees, nearly coiled up so that his face was into the floor. Tabs desperately wanted it to stop, but it only stopped when the Producer felt It made Its point.
His muscles went from paralyzed to limp the instant the static went away. A thud at the floor sounded as the propagandist briefly fell to his side. Face appeared again and he looked up, almost guiltily. A claw spread against the floor and he at least got himself back to his knees again. He wrapped his arms around himself, rocking slightly, not yet mentally recovered, but he was acutely aware he’d made a spectacle of himself in public… voluntarily or not.
“I’m sorry,” he tried to speak full voice, but failed, “I’m so sorry I did that.”
Though senses still were hazy, he was aware of a presence approaching. He recoiled from it, regretful he’d just collapsed in front of everyone like that, and now he had attention on him.
“Don’t hurt me,” he murmured, only vaguely aware of his words.
