Something was up with Kiara. It wasn't anything bad, he was sure, but Kion noticed that she seemed both tense yet... happy lately? Well, she seemed to have been developing a loving relationship with Shani so that explained the happy part of the recent something being up with Kiara. He was definitely happy for her, and didn't mind calling Shani family (Shani was nice, kind, and rather pretty so he could understand why Kiara fell for her. Though he never really dwelled on romance.). But the tense part was weird. It was like she was holding something back, and being a curious cat, Kion had to find out what.
He waited until Kiara was alone though, and well, not busy with anything. He didn't want to be that type of rude person, plus it would probably help if it was just the two of them and not in front of the entire population of the Dawnseekers. Okay, now was his shot. Kiara was alone, and barely anyone around. The golden teen then walked towards his twin as casually as he could.
"Hey, Kiara?" He asked her. Mostly to get her attention but to also announce his presence. "Can I talk to you? Lately you've been a bit... weird?"

As a Council member, as a pride leader, as a girlfriend... Solitude was hard to come by. Especially recently. Especially after the monstrosity that was the decision regarding Kopa's fate...
Kiara had stretched herself out in the back of the cabin delegated to the surviving members of the Pridelands, sneaking her way back in while the majority had gone out to hunt. She just wanted a little nap. Some time where she could just relax without the press of responsibility immediately weighing her down.
Which is, naturally, where her twin found her.
At first Kiara's inclination was to roll over and press her paws to her ears. Pretend she hadn't heard, maybe. Just for a few more minutes of rest. But... No. Guilt wouldn't allow that. Even if Kion didn't know how Kiara had kept any defense of their brother to herself, Kiara knew. Spurning Kion's attention on top of that... Kiara grimaced beneath her paw before rolling to an upright position and stretching herself up into a sitting position.
"Weird...? Yeah, probably..." A lot had happened over the past few days. Some of it was public knowledge. Most of it, even. But one item, perhaps one of the biggest items, was not. Kiara glanced around the cabin in quick assessment to confirm that they were alone.
Maybe it would be good to tell someone else. Shani hadn't forbidden that they speak of her issue. One fang tugged at Kiara's lower lip as she gnawed nervously. "... Can I tell you a secret?"

And he just had to have stumbled in on his twin sister when she was trying to nap. Whoops. Kion certainly felt a bit sheepish in that moment, but well, what could you do? Maybe if she didn't respond for a few more moments, he could just leave her in peace and talk to her about it later. But the ligeress did respond, so Kion was relieved but a bit sheepish still. He just waited for his twin to reply before he replied himself.
"I mean, a lot has happened though, so I guess weird just happens." Kiongozi laughed a bit awkwardly, trying to ease the situation a bit. It probably didn't work. But then Kiara glanced around, likely to confirm that the two of them were indeed alone. He felt like they were young all over again and deciding how to prank Zazu in his morning report or something without getting caught.
"A secret?" Kion questioned his twin. She definitely seemed nervous about it, but the golden teen was ready to hear her out. That's what siblings were for, right? "Yeah, you can tell me a secret. What is it?"
