January 10 The light armor was heavier than Nasira had realized. It felt as if she were rolled in carpet, and her staff arm seemed to have lost half its speed. It felt awkward. But it was a necessity. The set she wore was made of hardened leather and iron, lanced together onto a fabric backing. Nasira's armor had to be light enough so it did not interfere with her mobility, but as a consequence, it was only good for stopping most arrows. A sword could still cut through it, and a mace could stave her ribs in. No big deal. Nasira would leave dead men falling like leaves.
Her unit had been caught in the middle of a skirmish, a roiling mass of people and animals on the dusty plain. The two opposing armies struck with all the ferocity of those used to victory. It was time to knock them down a peg.
Nasira advanced.

The last thing anyone of them had probably been expecting was this chaos. It had just happened that way, the forces running into each other when scouting out new land and recruits. Everything happened so fast that Khan barely had time to react, but react he did. He wasn't the lead commander in the Army, that was Clopin but he still barked orders out trying to help the King hold his own.
A low snarl left the old feline as he tried to move quickly on the field, avoiding any unnecessary conflicts that he happened across. His goal was set on a Blackblood, one of them that appeared to be a higher up and he was heading straight for her. Paws pounded against the dusty ground as he ran towards Nasira and he threw his body forward with a loud snarl, he was aiming to end it quickly. His claws extended from their hold, almost seeming to glimmer even in the dim light. The dust making it a thousand times rougher on the forces but no one seemed to care. Their goals were all the same, injury or even kill the enemy. Of course, Khan's plot would not come to fruition so easily.

A white blur shot past Nasira, lunging at Shere-khan. Mystic had been lurking only a few tail lengths away, blue eyes looking out for any oncoming attack directed at her human. A good thing she had, since another tiger had zeroed in on her. Mystic let out a snarl, claws unsheathed as she pushed off the ground with her back paws, and leapt at the other tiger.

The necromancer quickly dematerialized before the Bengal tiger landed. There was a flash of violet and out of a deep sangria shade of smoke, Nasira reappeared an orgye (a pace-length) away, unscathed and standing even taller. Mystic then pounced on top of Shere Khan.
"Tsk, tsk - if only it were that easy," she derided, lifting her chin. A menacing-looking staff magicked in her left hand. "Die."
A dead leaf crunched behind her. Nasira pivoted, her dark eyes feral.

Aladdin was slowly creeping up on the necromancer when... CRUNCH. He almost wanted to curse but knew that wouldn't do any good. Aladdin saw her turn around. He kept a level-headed gaze, but he knew he had to be careful or either Nasira could kill him or the others fight around him would by accident or on purpose. He slowly took a step back.

Nasira's blood boiled. "You!" It was him - her sworn enemy, her brother's killer. For the longest time, she had craved the street rat's death with all the ferocity of her imagination. She had fantasized his face rearranged by the business end of a shovel and had seen ants gnaw at his intestines before the shock threw him in a darker world. It had amused Nasira to picture it, but sadly the real world was much less satisfying than her own fantasies - case in point. If there had been any god to listen, Aladdin would have burst into flames a long time ago. Instead, she saw his face whenever she slept. There would be no end to her suffering until he died. Nasira saw only red as she drew a long, pointy dagger. The necromancer wordlessly raised it high behind her head and swung it down at Aladdin, throwing her weight behind the blow.

Aladdin rolled out of the way of her swing and swung his sword not to kill her, but to disarm her. His blade slammed into her knife, but thought better and rolled a safe distance away from her. He was actually terrified when he saw that murderous look in her eyes. But if he didn't know a time when he wasn't terrified. He caught his breath quickly and waited for her to make her move. Thank Allah for agility.

The sound of wings, and a streak of purple shot out of the sky towards the two dueling humans. Jenn landed on the ground only a few steps away from Aladdin and Nasira. With a quick flick of her wrist, her silver blade was in her hand. With a quick movement she swiped her blade at Aladdin, trying to land a hit on the scrawny mortal. The other woman was wearing armor, and would be harder to hit by the looks of things, but this guy looked like an easier target. Even if he was quick, she was quicker.

She had come blitzing across the battlefield in an instant, Khan felt dead weight cold with him and he was sent skittering to the ground. Perhaps it had been her attention to tackle him to the dusty ground but it had failed. The older tiger scrambled onto his four paws and a loud snarl ripped out of him, teeth-baring in anger as his 'kill' was interrupted. "You vile little excuse of a tiger..." His voice dripped with venom towards the she-cat while his golden hue narrowed dangerously.
If he had not been in such a foul mood things may have been different but at the moment Mystic was a threat and an annoyance.
Strong limbs slowly guided him in a circle around the female tiger, low but steady growing growling echoing out of him. He wouldn't make a foolish move quite yet. He waited for weakness and when he saw it, he flung his body towards her. Claws out ready to make a mark.

Aladdin heard the sound of wings flapping. He instinctively leaped out of the way and saw a girl with literal wings. He managed to catch his boundings and kept his sword in front of them, but he never took an eye off of Nasira. He didn't say anything and only stared. He had no idea how he was still alive, but he didn't complain.
