Callista
Umbramancer + Occultamancer
Vampires are historically unholy beings, undead creatures bound by magic to the mortal plane. They are unnaturally strong and prey upon mortals to feast on their blood and flesh.
*Hypnotism
Callista, with a great amount of magic, can lull people into a trance-like state of being or sleep, to make it easier for her to bite her victims, or to simply bend their will. In extreme cases, it can make the victim go insane and lose their sense of identity and thought, making them her mindless slave.
Drawback: This is not easy to do and requires immense focus and use of magic. The easiest form of hypnosis to use is light mind control. She cannot do this on a regular basis. The stronger the mortal's will, the longer it will take for the hypnotism to take effect, if it does at all.
Cooldown: 24 hours or more, depending on the difficulty of the form of hypnosis. Making someone sleep can take up to 48, and mind-breaking is an unimaginable amount of strain since it has to be done over a long period of time.
*Regenerative Healing
Callista can heal herself after being minorly injured. This does not work as effectively on larger wounds and cannot bring her back from being destroyed or killed again.
Drawback: Is only useful for minor injuries. Takes a long amount of time and energy.
Cooldown: 48 hours, roughly.
*Shapeshifting
Callista can shapeshift to make herself appear more human, or to transform herself into an animal or even a cloud of fog or shadow. She can also grow huge batlike wings to allow her to fly.
Drawback: The more dramatic the transformation, the more power and concentration it takes. Particularly extreme transformations can leave Callista completely exhausted after the fact and tend to cause migraines.
Cooldown: About 8 hours.
*Near-Immortality
Vampires cannot be killed by most ways humans can. However, in order to stay alive, they need to feast upon mortal flesh and blood, or they will eventually wither away back into a corpse and stay dead. Callista does not physically age, no matter how many years pass.
She CAN be killed by extended exposure to pure silver, holy water, and sunlight, as well as complete decapitation, and a stake through the heart. Extreme religious iconography and exposure to crucifixes can't kill a vampire but will make them weak and unhealthy.
*Superhuman Strength, Senses, and Reflexes
Compared to a human, Callista is insanely strong and fast. She can easily lift hundreds of pounds as if it were nothing, can see accurately in the dark, and can run at inhuman speeds. However, this all can cause her to be injured if she is not concentrating hard enough, and she is extremely sensitive to noise, lights, bright colors, smells, and strong tastes. Using her superhuman powers is physically taxing and she cannot do it on a regular basis, only when she needs to.
